Marvel Rivals Marvel Rivals Devil Dinosaur Character Guide
Devil Dinosaur Overview
Devil Dinosaur stomps and chomps their way through brawls and teamfights with their sharp teeth and humongous form. Built around inflicting bleed debuff for bonus damage and effects, displacement, and overwhelming frontline pressure from their own knockback immunity, Devil Dinosaur is chaotically dominates the frontline.
Extended fights allow Dino's bonus health generation to shine, and give his team's Strategist plenty of time to farm ult charge of his huge body. Even considering, the Passive effect to decrease ult charge generation, having a massive dino-sized body is a double-edged sword for both team's ult economy.
The go-to playstyle is to frontline and use Savage Predation grab combined with Buddy Barrier to displace enemy heroes and cut them off from their team's resources for quick KOs.
Max health percentage-based Bleed damage, CC, damage mitigation, and knockback immunity give him one of the best anti-tank kits in the game. Top this off with a great anti-flyer tool (Impact Beam), Devil Dinosaur is a powerful addition to your hero pool.

TLDR
As
- Apply Bleed first with Primary or Secondary Fire, then combo targets with Savage Predation and Frenzied Feast.
- Use Buddy Barrier aggressively to deny your targeted enemy healing and protect your aggressive push.
- Look back at your team to ensure you have help before activating your Ult. Then use the speed boost and reduced cooldowns to run down the enemy backline.
Against
- The best way to counter Devil Dino is to evade his leap and melee range. Especially during his ultimate, avoid tight chokepoints or playing tightly grouped with your teammates.
- Devil Dino is an easy target but still has plenty of sustain. Coordinated team focus fire is the only way to take him down.
- After you see Buddy Barrier and Savage Predation used, go aggro mode and KO him before he has time to escape and refresh cooldowns.

Ability Tips
Primary Fire: Primal Bite
Tips for Primary Fire: Primal Bite
- Always apply bleed with Primal Bite before using your cooldown abilities.
- Bleed damage is percentage-based, making your attacks strong against tanks.
- Your primary fire is your fastest and most reliable bleed applicator. Compared to Impact Beam, you can spam freely with no concern for resources.
- Stay glued to frontline targets to maintain passive overhealth.
- Most of the time, Vanguards are your primary Target, unless a squishy enemy is badly out of position and you know you can leap in, and get out alive.
Secondary Fire: Impact Beam
Tips for Impact Beam
- Hold the beam for at least 1-2 seconds to fully apply bleed.
- Excellent for grounding flyers like Iron Man, Storm, and Human Torch.
- Use Impact Beam to apply Bleed at long range, then leap in with Savage Predation to guarantee the grab.
- Slow debuff make Beam great to marking low health targets as you chase down for the final blow.
- Do not spam Beam carelessly, and try to never deplete the full resource bar unless crucial for finishing a KO.
[SHIFT]: Savage Predation
Tips for Savage Predation
- Apply Bleed first or you will not get the grab effect.
- At range use Impact Beam before engaging. In CQC, just make sure to land a few primary fire Bites before activating SHIFT.
- Use this primarily to isolate tanks and frontline targets.
- Turn around after grabbing the enemy to throw them away from their team and into yours.
- Looking up increases leap distance while looking down shortens it.
- Avoid wasting this ability as a blind engage just to get close, the CC is too valuable to waste as a simple movement tool.
- Anytime you see an enemy positioned near a ledge, inflict Bleed and leap at them to go for a high-value environmental KO.
- When returning from spawn, you can activate leap, cancel with Beam, then repeatedly bunny hop by jumping as soon as you hit the ground to get back to the fight faster.
[E]: Buddy Barrier
Tips for Buddy Barrier
- Use Buddy Barrier after kidnapping a target to deny healing. Doing so will often result in a quick KO!
- Barrier completely shuts down one-shot ultimate attacks like Magneto, Iron Man, and Doctor Strange.
- The shield moves with you, enabling aggressive frontline pushes. Make sure Barrier is available before hard committing to the fight.
- In general, enemies trapped inside become much easier to finish off. Use Barrier offensively when chasing down a target, even if you don't need the damage mitigation.
[F]: Frenzied Feast
Tips for Frenzied Feast
- Never use Frenzied Feast without applying Bleed first. The damage is pathetically low without Bleed.
- Primarily treat Frenzied Feast as a tool to grant a burst of overhealth and damage.
- Frenzied Feast melts tanks due to percentage-based damage.
- Best combo is inflict Bleed with Impact Beam > Saveage Predation > Frenzied Feast.
- Dump all your cooldowns when you see a vulnerable target out of position. Then use Barrier to protect your escape.
- During your ultimate, the cooldown shortens and can be spammed.
(PASSIVE): Prehistoric Plating
Tips for Prehistoric Plating
- Dino cannot be booped or displaced by any knockback or launch abilities, such as Invisible Woman, Spider-Man, Wolverine, Hulk, or other knockback abilities.
- He can still be affected by stuns such as Luna's freezes or Mantis' sleep, and certain grabs such as Dino's Savage Predation and Hulk's ultimate.
- Reduced heashot damage and ultimate generation makes tanking damage less punishable.
- In addition to your Barrier, you can use your massive hurtbox to bodyblock damage for teammates, or cut off healing to enemies.
(PASSIVE): Apex Advantage
Tips for Apex Advantage
- Maintaining Bleed uptime is the key to maximizing survivability through Bonus Health generation.
- Hitting multiple Bleed targets is the fastest way to generate Bonus Health.
- During your ultimate, Bonus Health generation is enough to survive standard attacks from the enemy, but you'll need your bubble and team healing to survive against focus fire and counter ultimates.
[Q] Ultimate: Devil-Beast Rampage
Tips for Devil-Beast Rampage
- Constantly move during Devil-Beast Rampage to maximize stomp shockwaves, Bleed uptime, inflict slow debuff, and knock up enemies.
- Spam Frenzied Feast during ultimate since its cooldown becomes shortened, giving you frequent bursts of damage and Bonus Health.
- Use Savage Predation repeatedly during ult to chase targets, throw enemies into your team, and punish catch targets trying to retreat.
- Pair your ultimate with Buddy Barrier to deny healing, block incoming damage, and secure KOs.
- Devil Dinosaur’s ultimate is strongest in grouped fights on the objective and when defending or breaking through chokepoints. Take advantage of map areas where enemies cannot easily escape your AoE pressure.
[Passive] Team-up: Prehistoric Partner
Tips for Prehistoric Partner
- When Punisher jumps on your back, force close-range fights where he can delete the enemy with his shotgun.
- Use Savage Predation to grab enemies for an easy kill combo with Punisher's high dps output.
- Compared to Old Friends with Groot and Jeff/Rocket, this Team-Up is significantly more powerful.
- Use Buddy Barrier to protect both you and Punisher during fights, and buy more time for him to keep attacking before having to jump off and get to safety.
