How to Play
AD
Sion scales incredibly well with items thanks to his
Enrage massive Attack Damage steroid. Focus on farming during the early game to stack permanent Health with your E while building towards your core damage items. Look for short trades by landing your point and click Q stun before following up with empowered basic attacks. Since your stun is guaranteed,
Sion is excellent at setting up ganks, so communicate with your jungler whenever your opponent overextends. As the game goes on and you unlock your ultimate, you'll become a powerful frontline threat that can stick to enemies, sustain through fights, and deal massive sustained damage with your basic attacks.
Runes Explained
Sion's
Enrage grants him a huge amount of bonus Attack Damage, making offensive runes incredibly effective. Attack Damage Marks and Quintessences increase his early game trading power, making last hitting easier and allowing him to hit much harder in lane. Since
Sion relies almost entirely on basic attacks to deal damage, every point of Attack Damage goes a long way. Armor Seals help him trade more effectively against physical damage champions in lane, while Magic Resist Glyphs reduce the impact of magic damage from enemy champions throughout the game.
Masteries Explained
When playing AD
Sion your goal is to overwhelm opponents with powerful basic attacks backed up by your massive Attack Damage steroid from
Enrage. The Offense tree is the perfect primary choice, granting Attack Damage, Attack Speed, Armor Penetration, and increased damage to low-health enemies, allowing Sion to snowball hard and dominate skirmishes. Utility makes for the ideal secondary tree, as the extra Movement Speed helps you get into melee range and stick to targets, while the additional utility bonuses improve your overall map presence and make it easier to find fights.
