How to Play

During the laning phase as Morgana, your goal is to look for picks with your Q on the enemy ADC when they walk outside of the minion wave. Thankfully, not many ADCs have dashes, but those who do will be a bit challenging to play against- so if you can, try to bait out those abilities first if you can. 

While you are going to be building AP items and be a damage dealer, during the laning phase, you need to save your ADC with your Black Shield and keep them alive by blocking abilities. If you can keep them alive during the laning phase, they will scale and be stronger as the game goes along.

Runes Explained

For Morgana, we will take standard AP Runes. We will take AP Pen Marks as they increase the damage of her abilities and make her Q and W deal even more damage when trading. For Seals, we should take Armor as it is going to protect us from incoming damage from the enemy ADC, and then Magic Resist Glyphs to help protect her from AP damage from the enemy Mid/Suppor.

Finally, it is recommended to take AP Quints as it is basically free AP for her, and it makes her Q and W deal more damage and makes her a bigger threat throughout the game.

Masteries Explained

The Build and Runes show a pattern of damage, and that is why we are going 21 points in the Offense Tree for Morgana. We recommend going 21 points, as it allows her to deal a lot of damage throughout the game and helps us deal more damage during the laning phase. We take extra pen as magic pen is crucial on AP champs.

For the secondary tree, we can take 9 points in the utility tree, as this will provide us with more sustain during the laning phase. Morg is quite mana hungry, so taking extra mana regen will help throughout the game.
