How to Play
Morgana has one of the safest laning phases in the game. Farm using W while threatening enemies with Q whenever they overstep. Landing a binding often forces a flash or creates an easy kill for your jungler. Your E makes you extremely difficult to gank, allowing you to play more aggressively than most mages. Once you have your ultimate, flash into R can completely change teamfights especially if the team is grouped.
Runes Explained
For
Morgana's runes, we want a lot of Ability Power and Magic Penetration to make her spells deal as much damage as possible alongside the Offense tree. Ability Power Seals and Ability Power Quintessences give her a huge boost to her damage output, making her abilities much more threatening throughout the game. Magic Penetration Marks help her deal with tankier champions by allowing her spells to cut through their defenses more effectively. Glyphs should be focused on defense, taking either Magic Resist or Armor depending on your lane matchup and the type of damage you need to deal with.
Masteries Explained
While playing
Morgana, you want to deal as much damage as possible to multiple targets while also being able to consistently poke during the laning phase. The Offense tree is perfect for her since it provides Cooldown Reduction, Magic Penetration, and additional Ability Power, allowing her to cast her spells more often and hit harder. We don't really need the Defense tree, so Utility is the better choice for your secondary. The extra mana regeneration helps during the laning phase, while the faster Recall allows you to get back to lane quicker, farm more efficiently, and reach your core items sooner.
