How to Play

Lux Support is slightly different from Lux Mid, but she has the same pros and cons. First, it is really important to keep an eye on your mana bar and avoid spamming your abilities as you’ll quickly run out of mana. Watch your positioning throughout the laning phase, especially when you’re against Blitzcrank, Alistar or Leona, as they can kill you easily if you let them engage on you. Hog the bushes in the bot lane and move in and out of them to poke the enemy down.

When you’re level 6, you can start to be a bit more aggressive with your Ultimate as it heavily increases your kill pressure, especially when you’re against a squishy enemy ADC/ Support. During the mid-game, just stick with your team, as you’re relatively squishy and easy to kill when you’re alone.

Runes Explained

The best Runes for Lux are standard AP Runes. We will take AP Pen Marks as they increase the damage of her abilities, making her poke and burst much higher throughout the laning phase. Armor Seals are a must versus AD champions in the bottom lane as it reduces her incoming damage from basic attacks. We should take MR Glpyhs, as they help reduce the damage from AP and poke.

AP Quints are a must for Lux as they further increase the damage of her abilities.

Masteries Explained

The best Masteries for Lux is 21 points in the Offense Tree, as Lux is an AP champion and will be going AP items. The points in the Offense Tree will increase her damage output and make her a bigger threat throughout the game.

We are going to put the final 9 points in the Utility Tree, specifically looking for extra mana as Lux is quite a mana-hungry champion, and the early mana regen is going to help her a lot during the laning phase.
