How to Play

Lulu Mid is a strong AP champion who has good wave clear and poke throughout the later stages of the laning phase and mid-game. Your goal is to survive early and rush AP/ Mana items so you can constantly spam your Q and E on the enemy laner or minion wave. Then when you’ve completed your first item, you just need to keep pushing the wave with your Q. Try to aim your Q so it hits the minion wave and the enemy laner at the same time to make full use of your mana.

Outside of the laning phase, and in team fights, stick with your team and look for picks. Use your W or E to slow down/catch out the enemy frontline and then damage them with your Q. Your Q will be on a low cooldown, so you can keep spamming it. You can use your Ultimate on a carry to protect them, or use it on yourself if needed.

Runes Explained

Make sure you take Magic Pen Marks when playing Lulu, as she is going to be building damage items and taking Magic Pen Marks helps our Q and other abilities really hurt the enemy! Armor Seals are a must as Lulu is very squishy, and they’re good vs AD champions. MR Glyphs are taken as well, as they help versus AP champions in the Mid Lane.

For Quints, standard AP Quints are good because they give us 15 AP for free, which will help us while trading and clearing waves.

Masteries Explained

For AP Lulu Mid, we are going with the standard AP Masteries, allocating 21 points to the Offence tree and 9 to the Utility tree. We take 21 points in the Offence tree because it increases her damage output, which makes clearing waves easier. It also makes both her Q and E a bigger threat in lane, which in turn helps Lulu to get kills.

The Utility tree is really important on Lulu, as Lulu is very mana hungry and she runs out of mana very quickly. The 9 points here help clear waves and regenerate mana and increase her mana pool, which helps her to spam her Q and E.
