Trundle has great gank set up and can catch out enemies with ease thanks to his E. If they’re in a choke point in particular, it will be hard for them to escape him.
His Ultimate R makes him incredibly tanky and hard to kill. If he’s laning against a tank, he will be really hard to kill.
Trundle offers good peel and good utility for his team. He is a good Support.
Prone to disengage and all-in. In hard matchups, it will be impossible for him to do much without ganks.
If Trundle falls behind early after a misplay, it will be really hard for him to get back into the game as he will be behind in gold and XP.
Trundle needs to play aggressive early. If he can’t, then Trundle will not be as strong as he could be. You pick Trundle for early aggression and to make plays.

Look to all-in enemies regularly with your basic abilities. Use the lane brushes to your advantage and slow enemies down with your W and E.
Always remember to use your Q during major fights. It will help you survive longer and will allow your team to help you easily.
Your Ultimate R should be used to target the most powerful member of the enemy team. You may want to go for the one with the highest tankiness for maximal effectivity.

You will want to stick around with your ADC and team as much as you can. Also, neutral objective fights are going to be your bread and butter.
Ward up properly and work with your Jungler to secure picks as much as possible. Warding will allow you to make multiple W and E plays.
After going in with your W and E, be prepared to fall back and peel for your allies in team fights. A good time to do so will be when you have used your Q and your Ultimate R is about to run out.

Peeling for your carries in the late-game team fights is essential to increase your team's chances of winning the fight. If they die at the beginning, you will not be able to win the fight alone.
Focus the nearest enemy champion to your carries and work as a team to take down the enemy one by one. If you focus on the backline alone, you may be an easy target for the enemy and may die quickly. By focusing on the nearest champion, you will survive for longer and keep your carries alive. Make sure you Q them in time and get enemies off your carries regularly.
Use the fog of war and secure as many picks as you can during this game phase. Don't have tunnel vision on the enemy, though, else you will just get collapsed on.
Trundle’s strong at level 1 and 2: depending on the matchup and which ability he skills first.
When Trundle has purchased T1/T2 Boots, he can start to roam and help his allies. Trundle is a strong roamer as well.
At level 6, Trundle’s Ultimate R is very useful in skirmishes with the enemy bot. If he is laning against a tank Support, he can steal their stats and be incredibly tanky.
Another point in his Ultimate R will bolster his overall power during duels. It will also let him have a massive presence during team fights.
He should have his core items by now. This means that he will be tanky and will deal a lot of damage to his enemies. This should be amplified with his Ultimate R.
His first ability will be maxed out at level 9. This will give a significant boost to his skirmishing potential during this phase of the game.
Trundle is quite decent during the late game as he will have his items and be highly tanky. His damage output should be pretty high as well.
A fully maxed out Ultimate R will allow Trundle to take over fights way easily. He can quickly become tankier or deal more damage depending on which enemy he uses the Ultimate R on.
Trundle is perfect during team fights. It will allow him to quickly blow up squishy enemies and slow their escape/advances. His W and E should help his team and him a lot.
