Nocturne Matchups Overview
Nocturne General information
Nocturne tips and tricks
Try to get level 6 as quickly as possible so you’re able to impact the map with your Ultimate R.
As you’re an Assassin, try to assassinate immobile champions that are in the side lane alone. You can also use your Ultimate R to take down champions who are running through the river alone too.
Be prepared to sacrifice a little bit of CS for XP and health if you’re against a ranged champion in the mid lane. Don’t lose a lot of health and be forced to recall and fall.

The Best Nocturne Builds, Runes and Items for Mid in Emerald +
Most Popular
If you want to use the most popular Nocturne Mid build, you should take Flash and Teleport as your Summoner Spells. For runes, you should pick Conqueror as your keystone, followed by Triumph, Legend: Alacrity and Cut Down in the primary tree, as well as Biscuit Delivery and Jack Of All Trades in the secondary tree. For rune shards, you want Attack Speed in offense, Adaptive Force in flex and Health Scaling in defense, though it depends on the matchup. Finally, for your items, you should build Stridebreaker as your first item, followed by Mercury's Treads and Frozen Heart. For your last 3 items, you should build Kaenic Rookern, Blade of The Ruined King and finish with Thornmail. For the skill order, you want to stick with Q - E - W. Right now, this build has 60.3% winrate over 63 matches played.
Situational Nocturne Runes and Items
Depending on the context of your game, your matchup, and enemy champions, you might want to consider building some situational items or take specific runes. Carefully examine your team, enemy team, game state , and your matchup to plan your Nocturne build accordingly! For example, when it comes to rune shards, you might want to take either Armor or Magic Resist, depending on which champion you are about to lane against.
