Whenever you can, try and use your Passive on the enemy ADC or squishy Support rather than using it on minions. This will give you a health advantage over the enemy.
You need to fully understand what your W can block and what it can’t. There are some champions you cannot use your W against, such as Leona or Blitzcrank as their CC spells will put you closer to them.
In the mid-game, stick with your allies at all times. Do not go to ward alone as Mel is extremely squishy and easy to kill if she is caught out of position.
