Anivia Matchups Overview

Anivia General information

Anivia tips and tricks

Play safer when you do not have your Passive available as you will be an easy target for the enemy.

In team fights, look to lock down the closest enemy champion with your Flash FrostQ. Focus on using the rest of your abilities to peel and protect yourself and the rest of your team.

You can use both your CrystallizeW and Glacial StormR as a zoning tool to help you siege objectives and get picks. Be careful though as you’re vulnerable when your CrystallizeW is down.

The Best Anivia Builds, Runes and Items for Support in Emerald +

Most Popular

If you want to use the most popular Anivia Support build, you should take Flash and Ignite as your Summoner Spells. For runes, you should pick Electrocute as your keystone, followed by Cheap Shot, Eyeball Collection and Relentless Hunter in the primary tree, as well as Coup de Grace and Presence of Mind in the secondary tree. For rune shards, you want Adaptive Force in offense, Adaptive Force in flex and Health Scaling in defense, though it depends on the matchup. Finally, for your items, you should build Zaz'Zak's Realmspike as your first item, followed by Sorcerer's Shoes and Rod of Ages. For your last 3 items, you should build Archangel's Staff, Liandry's Torment and finish with Zhonya's Hourglass. For the skill order, you want to stick with E - Q - W. Right now, this build has 47.6% winrate over 574 matches played.

Optional

Your second option for Anivia Support build would be to take Flash and Ignite as your Summoner Spells. The runes that this build takes advantage of are Arcane Comet as your keystone, Manaflow Band, Transcendence and Scorch in the primary tree, and Coup de Grace with Presence of Mind in the secondary tree. The shards used in this build are Adaptive Force in offense, Adaptive Force in flex and Health Scaling in defense. The items for the build are Zaz'Zak's Realmspike, which you should build first, followed by Sorcerer's Shoes as your second item and Rod of Ages as your third item. The rest of the items in order are Archangel's Staff, Liandry's Torment and Malignance. The skill order for this build is E - Q - W. In the current patch, this build has a 46.8% win rate over 190 matches.

Alternative

If you're looking for alternatives, you can use Flash and Ignite as your Summoner Spells, with runes being Electrocute as your keystone, Cheap Shot, Zombie Ward and Relentless Hunter in the primary tree, and Presence of Mind with Coup de Grace in the secondary tree, as well as Attack Speed, Adaptive Force, and Health Scaling as your rune shards. Situational Anivia Runes and Items

Depending on the context of your game, your matchup, and enemy champions, you might want to consider building some situational items or take specific runes. Carefully examine your team, enemy team, game state , and your matchup to plan your Anivia build accordingly! For example, when it comes to rune shards, you might want to take either Armor or Magic Resist, depending on which champion you are about to lane against.
