Character Profile

Vesna is an upcoming 5 star Anemo character. She is a holder of an Anemo Stellar Linchpin, and thus will enable the Stellar Swirl Reaction, but not the Stellar-Conduct Reaction. She will be taking the role of an on-field Stellar Swirl DPS, dealing Stellar Swirl damage directly through her talents as well as Stellar Swirl Reaction damage.

Vesna seems to have relatively inflexible on-field time, looking to perform many instances of her Elemental Skill while in her field time but not able to swap out during it. Her Elemental Skill will be the primary way through which she dealls Stellar Swirl damage, with her Elemental Burst being a secondary one.

Her teams will likely be quite similar to other current Stellar Swirl teams, such as Yumemizuki Mizuki's or Sandrone's. She will require Cryo teammates, the best of which will include Odette, Traveler (Cryo), as well as Qiqi and Diona. As an Anemo unit, she should also be able to use Anemo Supports like Faruzan and Sucrose. She will likely have uniquely good synergy with the other upcoming character for patch 7.1, Vodyanitsa, but the extent of this remains to be seen. As a Stellar DPS, she is poised to be a very strong carry for the Snezhanaya meta.

As an on-field Stellar Swirl DPS, Vesna will be using the set dedicated for the role. Scarlet Proof is a very strong set, just as strong as Disenchantment in Deep Shadow for Stellar-Conduct units. It will be much stronger than other options.

Alternatives to it will include Gilded Dreams, Viridescent Venerer, and 2p2p combinations of ATK % and Elemental Mastery. Since Scarlet Proof's 2p effect provides ATK%, we can safely assume Vesna will be ATK scaling.

Skill Overview

Normal Attack: Vesna's baseline Normal Attacks will deal physical damage, and not be useful.
Elemental Skill: When Vesna enters her Special Skill State, her Normal Attacks will be infused with Anemo and deal another instance of additional Anemo damage. Each Normal Attack will let her gain "Sword Essence", a resource bar that she can consume to trigger her Enhanced Skill.
Enhanced Elemental Skill: Consumes a certain amount of Sword Essence to trigger a Windborne Sword. Each successive use of her Enhanced Skill will level the next one up, from Level 1 to Level 2 to Level 3. Starting at Level 2, each Enhanced Skill will also trigger a 'Spirit Blade' that deals additional Stellar Swirl damage.
Elemental Burst: Her Elemental Burst will trigger an instance of Anemo Damage, followed by an instance of Spirit Blade Stellar Swirl damage.

Best Teams

Vesna Stellar Swirl Carry

Cryo Options: Odette, Traveler (Cryo), Diona, Qiqi.
- Odette will be the strongest Cryo unit for Vesna teams. She deals significant Sub-DPS Stellar Swirl damage while buffing the Stellar Swirl damage of her teammates.
- Traveler (Cryo) will deal a lot of Stellar Swirl damage through their Enhanced CA and Elemental Burst, and they will provide Vesna with an Elemental Mastery buff. Their Cryo application is middling, but nonetheless will be appreciated.
- Diona provides Vesna with a Shield if she wants it, but most importantly, Diona's buff should have enough uptime to cover all of Vesna's field time.
- Qiqi will buff Vesna for less than Diona, but will also buff her teammates' damage.
Anemo Options: Faruzan, Sucrose
- Faruzan will require C6 to become a strong option as per usual, but will an excellent teammate if she does have it. She will provide Vesna with a lot of Energy, additional Stellar Swirl procs, and Anemo Crit DMG and RES Shred.
- Sucrose's Elemental Mastery buff will buff Vesna's Stellar Swirl damage, but she has little Anemo application and her Cryo RES Shred is not going to be as useful as in other teams.
Other Options: Vodyanitsa
- Vodyanitsa will increase Vesna's Stellar Swirl DMG instances through a quill-like mechanic, provide Anemo RES Shred whenever Stellar Swirl is triggered, as well as Cryo RES Shred for Vesna's teammates. As a Catalyst, she will also be able to provide Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers to Vesna.

Best Weapons

Vesna's Signature

Vesna's own weapon will be her strongest option, but its effect has not been officially shown yet.

Heretic's Molten Blade

The newest Battle Pass Sword added in 7.0 looks like a strong optionf or Vesna. She moves around during her Elemental Skills, and will be able to easily maintain its buff.

Emberwell

The Snezhnayan craftable option will be a decent baseline for her, being able to trigger it comfortably and consistently.

Best Artifacts & Stats

Scarlet Proof

Could be considered Vesna's dedicated Artifact Set. Stellar Swirl DMG% and Crit Rate are far more valuable stats than anything another set can provide, and this is certain to be her best option by far. It is found in the same domain as Heart of the Furnace, the best Support set option for any Stellar team, making it very comfortable to farm.
