Level Up Rewards

Class Skills

Every class comes with at least two default Skills that can be equipped. When reaching a certain Level, you will unlock new Skills. These vary by Class and can be unlocked up to Level 10.

Check out our Mistfall Hunters All Classes Guide to learn more about the specific Skills for each Class.

Talent Points and Talent Trees

Each Class has its own Talents, passive Skills that enhance your character's traits and Skills. Talents are organized in Talent Trees, each unlocking at a different Level.

Talents require Talent Points to activate. You gain Talent Points when leveling up, with a maximum of 8 Talent Points by Level 12.

Camp Upgrades

Once you've reached Level 5 and acquired 10,000 Gyldenblood, you'll unlock the Task "Camp Revitalization", which allows enhancing the Camp settlements, offering permanent upgrades.

Path of Glory (Ranked)

When reaching Level 6, Path of Glory becomes available. This is Mistfall Hunter's Ranked System. It is opt-in, meaning you can choose not to engage with the system. However, enabling it will not change matchmaking or gameplay in any way; it will only track your progression.

You earn points by extracting and for what you've achieved during a match, and you will lose points if you fail to extract. Ranking up to a new tier unlocks milestone rewards, with higher tiers granting cosmetic rewards.

Fastest Ways to Level Up

The two main sources of XP in Mistfall Hunter are completing Tasks (Quests) and defeating enemies.

Complete Tasks

The Task Tab in the Menu displays currently active quests. These are tied to the game's story, and completing them will reward you with XP as well as items and cosmetics.

When loading into a match, make sure to check the Map for any active Tasks (Blue Exclamation Markers) and complete them if you are nearby.

You should focus on completing Main Tasks and Side Tasks in the Early game, since these will net you a decent amount of XP.

Farm Enemies Efficiently

Following Farming Routes is your best bet to accumulate XP fast and reliably. Small and Elite monsters net a decent amount of XP. When first entering a match, check your position on the Map and plan a Farming route that goes through several High Resource Areas and ends in an Extraction Point.

Defeating Bosses like Underlords and Mist Lords also yields a high amount of XP, but these encounters can go south quickly, and you might get attacked by another player or die to the Boss. For this reason, it is much safer to focus on killing smaller enemies if your objective is leveling up.

Successfully Extracting from a match multiplies the XP you've earned, making greed the #1 thing to avoid when your objective is leveling up. The more you stay inside a match, the more likely you are to run into another player or die due to a lack of healing items.

Other XP Sources

Aside from Tasks and Enemy kills, the game also rewards XP for the amount of time spent in a match, as well as for defeating other players. However, these two methods are very unreliable, as they increase your chances of dying and losing a lot of XP.
