One of the easiest ways to earn more money is to purchase better lures as you reach new islands. Higher tier lures allow you to catch more valuable creatures, with the Scientific Lure providing access to some of the best regular catches on Volcano Island.
Continue reinvesting some of your earnings into better lures rather than repeatedly catching low value fish with the starter equipment.
How you kill a creature can increase how much it sells for. Performing trick shots such as headshots, no-scopes and full 360-degree spins adds to its Killscore multiplier.
Several bonuses can be combined on the same finishing shot. Try weakening a creature first before finishing it with a 360 no-scope or another combination of trick shots. The higher its Killscore, the more money you will receive when it is sold.
Cooking a fish can increase its sale value by up to 1.5x. Hold your catch over the Grill and remove it once it reaches the maximum cooking multiplier. Leaving it over the heat for too long will burn it and destroy its value.
The Grill is unlocked on the Desert Island after completing the Grill master’s Shark request.
Killscore and cooking multipliers work together, so performing trick shots before cooking your catch is one of the best ways to maximise its final value.

Extra inventory slots do not directly make each fish more valuable, but they allow you to carry and sell more catches at once. This reduces the number of trips between the water, Grill and shop, making your overall money farming much faster.
Inventory space becomes especially useful when combining better lures, Killscore bonuses and cooking, as you can prepare several valuable catches before selling everything together.
Volcano Island offers one of the strongest late game money making loops. Use the Scientific Lure to catch valuable fish, then place each catch in the lava before selling it.
Lava automatically applies the maximum 1.5x cooking multiplier without the risk of burning your catch. For the highest returns, combine this with Killscore bonuses before cooking and selling the fish.
