Hell Wyrm Method Introduction

Hell Wrym farming is a farming method aimed at force spawning Hell Wyrms found in Helltides to spawn Maggots through the use of the Hellmouth and Writhe and Rot Helltide War Plan upgrades for incredible amounts of experience and Boss Trophies.

Requirements & Preparation

To start farming Hell Wyrms efficiently, players will need to progress their War Plan until the first two activity points are unlocked for both the Hellmouth and Writhe and Rot upgrades, as well as a fairly progressed account that can quickly and efficiently farm Helltides.
If players are looking to also farm Boss Trophies, a third activity point will be needed to unlock the Bursting Brood upgrade.

Before starting, it is advised to run a Forgotten Wisdom Nightmare Dungeon to claim the pool which will grant players an extra 15% experience gain for 1 hour. This can be further boosted by using Charm with the Experience Gain affix for even quicker leveling.

Hell Wyrm Farming Method

To fully explain the method, we first need to take a deeper look at the Hell Wyrm summoning mechanics and explain how to influence it.

First, Hell Wyrms can only be spawned when players are at 2/3rds on their Threat Meter.
Second, Wyrm spawn locations are actually set locations in Helltides. Meaning if you visit visit one of these spawn locations, you have a very high chance that a Wyrm will be summoned that you can kill for experience. Each spawn however has a 5-10 minute cooldown so players will need to plan out an efficent route

So, with these two things in mind, the method becomes simple. The player will start by getting their Threat Meter above 2/3rds by killing monsters during a Helltide.
Once the players Threat Meter is high enough, they will need to immediately stop killing enemies to avoid filling and resetting their Threat Meter.
After that, players will visit one of the many spawn locations and kill the Maggots spawned by Hell Wyrms and pick up all the Experience orbs that drop before moving to the next location.

Because of the spawn timers, it is advised that players route to 5 or more spawn locations before repeating their farming route rather than trying to farm the same few and waiting for their spawns.

While the Hell Wyrm spawn locations are documented below in green, it is recommended that players leave their Boss Trophies on the ground to get a pinpoint record of where exactly the Hell Wyrm spawn is simply by looking at where the previous Boss Trophies are on the ground as the maps provided are a general area rather than an exact pinpoint location. This can help speed up farming and make it more consistent for the best experience possible.
