Build Overview

Season 13 brings in new tier sets, that allow us to take our builds to the extreme. and with BerĂº of Balazan's Bite we can do some crazy things with poison builds. This build is designed to create the fastest playstyle possible. So how does it work?

  1. Poison Centipede skills for super high damage on both AoE and bosses.
  2. Mobility with Jaguar skill Rushing Claw
  3. High attack speed with jaguar ferocity

Endgame Breakout:

Once we hit endgame, we take our tier sets, we add in some uniques and hit a key breakpoints on our skills that give us 2 things:

  • permeant Rushing Claw letting us essentially teleport all over the screen, for insane speed.
  • Huge poison damage that insta melts mobs, without the need to wait for the damage over time. Thanks to BerĂº of Balazan's Bite and Widow's Web
  • HUGE passive poison damage from Aspect of Pestilence and Ring of Writhing Moon, where poison swarms circle around us.

Strengths and Weaknesses

  • Massive AoE Damage
  • Poison deletes bosses and elites
  • Scales well while leveling
  • FASTEST Builds In S13
  • Speed Farming King
  • Squishy early on
  • Very Intense, Lots of Movement

Now you see a ton of different abilities from different spirits and you're thinking... "where is the synergy".

Well the majority of our damage is coming from poison and poison swarms. So Stinger, Scourge and Toxic Skin give us huge damage. We then have some movement from Rushing Claw and Armored Hide for a defensive.

This all comes together by using the unique helmet Harmony of Ebewaka which lets us tag all our skills as an additional spirit hall, and giving us additional damage for each tag our skills have.

For example our stinger is tagged as centipede, jaguar AND gorilla. Meaning we get a 90% damage boost. But we can also dip into any damage from other spirit halls such as in our paragon glyphs Fester and Colossal.

Required Unique Gear:

This build required 3 unique items. The Harmony of Ebewaka as it is as good as having any other legendary helmet. But it is up to you which of the other 2 you want to turn into a unique charm:

Widow's Web to enable crits to burst poison

Harmony of Ebewaka to double tag our skills as additional spirit halls

Ring of Writhing Moon to enable pestilent swarms to circle around you

Why do we want these as a unique charm:

Because these unique items take up key slots (ring and amulet), if we can make them into a charm we free up a very powerful legendary aspect slot. Ideally find the unique that has the best stats (damage over time or poison damage), and keep that equipped. The other, turn into a charm.

If you can craft a Ring of Starless Skies or have one available, you want to get that too, which also takes a precious ring slot.

Where is our damage coming from?

All of our damage is poison damage, which is also a damage over time. So we want to get these stats everywhere. Try to find them as a Greater Affix and temper on damage over time everywhere possible

  • Poison Damage
  • Poison Damage Multiplier
  • Damage Over Time
  • Damage Over Time Multiplier

Runes:

We have a lot of options, but here is my recommendation:

Moni Kry - This lets us auto cast vortex which sucks enemies in. As we are dealing damage with both Stinger which has a fairly smaller AoE range, and pestilence swarm which circles us, the vortex is a perfect rune.

Cem Ceh - Wolves are incredible powerful this season, I would put them in every build. if you've tried them, you now already.

iIf you're feeling squishy go for a defensive rune in place of the wolves, such as dark shroud.

Talismans

Because of Harmony of Ebewaka we can take "ranks to jaguar" or "ranks to gorilla" and it will cover every single skill we have. As another option "ranks to centipede", or poison damage directly buff our poison abilities, so that works too.

The last slot should go to whatever unique you are not equipping, in my case this is the Ring of Writhing Moon. See above in the gear for explanation on this.

How it Plays

The build is played to be fast, and mobile, with very high poison damage.

  1. Get into fights by dashing with Rushing Claw This will never go off cooldown.
  2. Use your poison cooldowns Toxic Skin and Scourge to dump massive amounts of damage over time on the enemies.
  3. Cast Stinger continuously while everything to generate spinning pestilent swarms around you.
  4. Armored Hide for defensive cooldown as needed

How it Works

How do we have unlimited Rushing Claw and why is it so fast:

In our rushing claw we have an node called Charge Refund Rushing Claw, this lets gives us 4 charges of rushing claw. And then when we use the last one, if we have 4 stacks of ferocity, we get an instant cooldown refresh on Rushing Claw.

So in our Ravager we take we take Ferocity Minimum Ravager, this increases our MINIMUM charges from 2-3. Now as you put more points into Ravager we can get one additional miminum ferocity. Once we hit 21 points in Ravager we will have 4 minimum stacks. Meaning we ALWAYS have 4 stacks of ferocity and therefore always have instant cooldowns on our Rushing Claw.

You can get these stacks on multiple pieces of gear, charms etc very easy, especially with the cube.

Pestilent Swarms:

Our entire gameplay revolves around Pestilent Swarms, we use Ring of Writhing Moon to make these spin around us as we move, and we take Aspect of Infestation and Aspect of Pestilence for a big damage boost. Meaning majority of gameplay is, using Stinger to generate the swarms via Unleash the Swarm Stinger (generates 3 swarms). And then we dash around with Rushing Claw spreading them to everyone.

Why use Stinger over Counterattack?

Both of these methods generate a good amount of pestilent swarms. A Counterattackplaystyle will let you be more mobile as you don't need to stop and cast Stinger, however it is awful to use on bosses and high pit runs. As you are basically teleporting through the mob constantly, leading you straight into danger. With stinger we can stand on the boss and mass generate our swarms.

Additionally Stingerhas other uses outside of just playstle:

  • It lets us take advantage of Ring of Starless Skies which is a huge damage buff
  • It lets us use Accelerating Aspect which transforms this into one of the fastest builds in the game
