Build Overview

If you're looking for a great starter build, without the use of Earthquakes, this is the build for you. It is a mobile build, utilizing Lunging Strike to proc defenses, offenses and runes. All this building up to an Upheaval that will melt all the enemies in front of you.

Even though during the early stages of leveling Resistances and Armor aren't as important. Once you start moving into Penitent, you'll need to start adding these in.

Tempering and Enchanting are great ways to add Resistances and Armor early on, until you get your End Game gear.

Barbarians! If you enjoy or have wanted to play Upheaval this is the leveling guide for you! We're taking a classic core skill and reinventing it for season 11
.

This will be your starting Variant.

For Gear at these levels you just take any item that is an upgrade and has an aspect on it. Any legendary gear will gain additional stats over Yellow gear so those are always upgrades even if the Aspects don't affect your build.

At level 10

Tempering unlock. As long as you can afford it putting Elemental Surge on as many weapons as you can greatly increases your damage, even with rare temper manuals.

Frequently Asked Questions

Gearing How-to

During leveling on all classes, there are certain affixes (stats on gear) that will always make your journey a smooth one.

Main stat Regeneration i.e. Fury, Mana, or Spirit. This affix can be found on Helmets, Chest Pieces, Pants and Boots.
Lucky Hit: Chance to Restore Primary Resources. This affix can be found on Weapons, Gloves and Jewelry Tempers.
Resource Cost Reduction. This affix can be found on Weapons, Gloves and Jewelry Tempers.
Movement Speed. This affix can be found on Boots, Amulets and Tempers for both.
Weapons. These will be the items you will need to change the most. In almost all cases, it will be worth taking increased damage per second on a weapon even over an Aspect. This only matters on the Weapon your skill is currently using. If it’s a weapon slot you are not currently using for Barbarian or Rogue, then aspects will be more important.
Defenses. The best thing you can do during the leveling process is add Maximum Life to any piece of gear to help with Survivability. If you have something like Armor, or Damage Reduction they are great supplements but Maximum Life will out pace everything.
