This is a version of Balazan's Maxtlatl, that uses Crushing Hand for massive damage and a ridiculous amount of defensive capability.

Mythic Priority:
Once you have the materials to craft a mythic, grab the Ring of starless skies and replace the Ring of midnight sun for a massive upgrade.
Tempering Tip:
- For offensive tempers: Maximise our Mystic Circle Potency s this is one of our biggest sources of damage during the late game.
- Utility Tempers: 1 MUST be used to increase the size of Crushing Hands, then go for either vortex size to suck in more enemies, or increase armoured hide thorn bonus for additional damage.
- Resource Tempers: Reduce cooldown on The Hunter ultimate for big damage and to proc our seasonal boss power.

How it Plays
Jump into a pack and unleash the rotation:
- Pop The Hunter to jump into a pack of mobs, and increase damage
- Use Vortex to suck in all enemies
- Use Armoured Hide for damage reduction and to increase thorn damage
- Use Toxic Skin to also increase thron damage.
- Cast Crushing Hand non stop to destroying everything.
- When you proc Counterattack use this
And now use every single ability (except counterattack) as soon as it comes off cooldown. Use Counterattack whenever it procs
How it Works
The build gets all of its damage from the following areas:
- We rely on the unique Balazan's Maxtlatl to reflect our thorns as poison damage + increase our poison damage by up to 300%.
-> meaning the more thorns damage we have on gear and coming from our skills = more damage! - We use the jaguar spirit hall to do massive damage. Every 15th attack, we deal 42% of the damage we have dealt to them in one hit.
-> We stack ferocity on gear + aspects to increase our attack speed to get our as many attacks as possible to trigger this more - Finally we go heavy with plains power + tempers to create a circle that increases damage and defenses. This is especially useful on bosses and in high pits where we are locked in one spot, pumping attacks for periods of time.
And our defenses come from the following
- Stacking Resolve - every point of resolve is 20% damage reduction. And we can have upto 8 stacks.
- Liminal Echo Jewel makes us escape death - "when you take fatal damage become invulnerable for 3 sec"
- Tons of barrier - we get a lot from skill tree, but we also get a TON from throwing out crushing hands.
So although this build doesn't have the same output as a quill build, it has a CRAZY amount of defenses and still enough damage to push very high in torment 4. It's more forgiving, more new player friendly and gets you ahead earlier.
