Dance of Knives Rogue Endgame Build Guide

The Dance of Knives Rogue Build Guide teaches you about Gear, Skills, Paragon, Playstyle & Seasonal Mechanics in Diablo 4.

Dance of Knives is the main driver of this build and combined with Poison Imbuement or Cold Imbuement and the Grenade Upgrade for Dance of Knives a real powerhouse! This allows us to utilize the Grenade Synergies and any aspects and Sets that speak to it! We are focusing on maximizing the damage from Dance of Knives itself, making it a pure build!

If you dislike Combo Points and want a more lazy variant, play the Spellbound IS variant instead.

Dance of Knives in addition to Dark Shroud can go beyond the 200% Movement Speed cap now.

Loot Filter Explained

• Use the widget to copy the filter and paste it in-game
• This is a baseline Filter for DT that hides non-Ancestral items unless they are a codex upgrade.
• • It also hides non-Ancestral Uniques.
  • It does however show the relevant Uniques for this build.
• The filter highlights important rolls and Codex upgrades.
• The filter is rather strict so that you can keep blasting.

Poison Endgame Variants:

1. Cast Blade Shift to gain Combo Points and sustain your Energy through Range of Motion Blade Shift and Energy Blade Shift.
2. Use Poison Imbuement.
3. Activate Dark Shroud.
4. Cloak yourself with Concealment for more Movement Speed.
5. 1. Concealing Fate Concealment also applies Vulnerable.
   2. Concealment is also automatically cast if you use the BacNer runeword.
5. Use Dash to traverse empty maps faster.
6. 1. With Shrouded Gift, this also activates Concealment and your Berú of the Sightless.
6. Spin2Win with Dance of Knives!

Spellbound IS:

1. Activate Dark Shroud.
2. Dash into enemies or to traverse quickly.
3. Cloak yourself with Concealment for more Movement Speed.
4. Activate Shadow Clone for more damage and buffs.
5. Activate Poison Imbuement.
6. Spin to Win with Dance of Knives.
7. 1. Inner Sight will automatically proc and apply all imbuements thanks to Berú of Spellbound Steel.
   2. With this, Cold Imbuement will apply Vulnerable, Weaken and Freeze.

Umbracrux Variants:

1. Dash into the enemies.
2. Use Smoke Grenade to spawn The Umbracrux.
3. 1. You gain Stealth after using Silhouette Smoke Grenade, activating Berú of the Sightless.
3. Use Shadow Clone to position your Clone on top of the Umbracrux Totem.
4. Use Cold Imbuement to activate Aspect of Imitated Imbuement and Vulnerable and Freeze.
5. Use Concealment when need to respawn the Totem and have no Smoke Grenades left.
6. Spin through the enemies with Dance of Knives.

FAQ

Leveling

If you have not reached Level 70 and Torment 1 yet, stick to the Leveling Build instead.

Dance of Knives Attack Speed Scaling

• Attack Speed does not increase the rate at which Knives are thrown.
• Instead, Attack Speed scales the Base Damage of Dance of Knives linearly.
• If Dance of Knives Base Damage is 100% Weapon Damage, adding 50% Attack Speed increases it to 150%. This results in a relative increase of 50%.
• If Dance of Knives Base Damage is 200% Weapon Damage, adding 50% Attack Speed increases it to 300%. So, a relative increase of 50% again.
• To conclude, Attack Speed is its own separate multiplier for Dance of Knives.

Dark Shroud Damage Reduction Scaling

Dark Shroud

• Level 1 Dark Shroud provides 40% DR at 5 stacks.
• Level 5 Dark Shroud provides 48% DR at 5 stacks. 1 - (1-48%)/(1-40%) = 13.33% effective DR increase.
• Level 15 Dark Shroud provides 68% DR at 5 stacks. 1 - (1-68%)/(1-48%) = 39.5% effective DR increase.
• Level 19 Dark Shroud provides 76% DR at 5 stacks. 1 - (1-76%)/(1-68%) = 25% effective DR increase.
