If you prefer your enemies minced while running around like the Flash, then this is the build for you.

Zeal holds a special place in my heart as one of the first Paladin builds I created back in Season 11 and it's really cool to boot! Zeal is an insanely strong skill that attacks extremely fast while echoing strikes for even more slice and dice chaos! This build is unmatched in mobility and Attack Speed.

Oaths
  • Zeal is the main damage skill in the build and will be spammed constantly to kill enemies and apply Weaken.
  • The goal is to always fight inside Fortress which gives 4%[x] damage per stack of Resolve.
  • Fanaticism Aura passively gives Attack Speed, Critical Strike Chance, and Critical Strike Damage.
  • Rally can be stacked three times and gives a total of 15% Critical Strike Chance and 60% Movement Speed. This Movement Speed can exceed the 200% normal cap which makes it very useful.
  • Defiance Aura offers a lot of survivability and a nice damage boost passively.
  • Falling Star improves mobility and can be swapped for other defensive or offensive options.
  • Zealot Oath is our class mechanic and improves our damage by giving our Zealot skills echoes and is necessary for bonuses from Aspect of Jacques' Fervor and Fervent.

  • Revelator's Aspect can be used if you are capped on Critical Strike Chance.
  • You only need one Attack Speed affix on one ring to hit the Attack Speed cap.
  • I only put Embattled Aspect on armor and the Aspect of Interdiction on amulet because I wanted to make sure that people who don't read the guide will not end up killing themselves. If you're reading this, you should run Aspect of Interdiction on armor so that you get more benefit from Embattled Aspect on amulet.
  • If you struggle at all with survivability you can make sure each piece of gear has Maximum Life and Blood-Mad Idol can be swapped out for various alternatives such as Griswold's Opus, Godslayer Crown, Endurant Faith(Huge for survivability), etc.
  • Max Evade Charges is a good alternative to Attacks Reduce Evade Cooldown on Flickerstep.

  • Flickerstep charm is used until you can find a pair with Attacks Reduce Evade Cooldown.
  • The Blood-Mad Idol seems scary but Embattled Aspect and Zealot make it so that we are constantly filling our life despite the damage from this and Death or Glory.

Important Notes

  • Potency Fanaticism Aura doesn't seem to work without a Utility potency Temper so this point can be removed or if you don't need Movement Speed Temper on boots you can go for potency..

Paragon Board

Important Notes

  • Prioritize getting all Legendary Nodes before all else. Example: Preacher
  • Prioritize all Glyphs to level 15 before going higher unless you cannot equip the next Glyph yet.
  • Prioritize all Glyphs to level 50 before going higher on any.

Glyph Leveling Order

  1. Feverous
  2. Spirit
  3. Outmatch
  4. Chip
  5. Sentinel This is our most important Glyph despite being the least valuable to level.
  • If you end up getting additional Attack Speed in the build such as a Transfigure bonus affix then you will be able to remove Outmatch and use Imbiber for additional damage at the cost of losing some Maximum Life.

How it Plays

Skill Rotations

  1. Use Fortress to generate Resolve, grant Unstoppable, and increase damage by a significant amount.
  2. Use Condemn for movement speed and run into battle. This will also pull enemies in and apply Vulnerable.
  3. Rally can be used up to three times to grant additional Critical Strike Chance and Movement Speed.
  4. Spam Zeal to apply Weaken and kill everything.

Yes... it's that easy.

  • Fanaticism Aura and Defiance Aura are passive.

How it Works

Main Synergies

This build utilizes various synergies around Zealot Oath and Zeal. with scaling from Critical Strike Damage, Zealot Skills, Core Skills, Physical Damage, and Resolve stacking.

  • Red Sermon increases Zeal damage and gives the Death or Glory on Zeal for free which means we get a second upgrade for even more damage.
  • Berú of Dauntless Faith gives damage and Cast Speed which goes beyond the normal Attack Speed cap. It also auto-casts Rally and gives it a Damage Reduction buff as well.
  • Fortress scales our damage by a ton based on Resolve stacks and we can use it almost constantly due to Flickerstep which reduces Ultimate cooldown when we Evade through enemies.
  • Aspect of Interdiction gives us max Block chance from Resolve stacking which scales Shield Bearer while offering an additional defensive layer.
  • Maxing out our Block chance means that we can utilize Aspect of Redirected Force for a very large multiplier.
  • Aspect of Glynn's Anvil also scales survivability by giving a huge amount of Damage Reduction based on Resolve stacks.
  • Embattled Aspect and Zealot synergize to counter the life lost from Death or Glory and Blood-Mad Idol.
  • Aspect of the Zealot's Covenant gives an additional Fervor on top of the three that Zealot already gives. This means more damage and Critical Strike Chance from Fervent and more damage from Aspect of Jacques' Fervor.

As you can see below, we are able to basically max out our Critical Strike Chance and Attack Speed with very minimal gear investment. This allows us to focus more affixes into damage multipliers instead.

Critical Strike Chance = 100%+

  • 5% base Critical Strike Chance
  • 1%+ from Intelligence
  • Heir of Perdition gives about 15%
  • Rally gives 15%
  • Fanaticism Aura gives 15%+
  • Fervent gives 12%
  • Death or Glory gives 20%
  • The Penitent's Aspect gives 15%
  • Critical Strike Chance Zeal 6-12% (Optionally use Weaken Zeal instead)

Attack Speed = 97%+

  • Preacher gives 15%
  • Preacher's rare and magic nodes give about 20%+ with a bonus to magic/rare Glyph
  • Weapon Temper gives 24%
  • Fanaticism Aura gives 38%+
  • Before being fully optimized, Varyana can be used as Reinforcement to get an additional 10% to cover missing Attack Speed.

Cast Speed from Berú of Dauntless Faith goes beyond the 100% cap.
