Skeletal Warriors get their moment in the spotlight thanks to the new seasonal powers allowing you to always Critically Strike AND Overpower for insane amounts of damage. This build comes online before you even hit Torment 1 and will carry you all the way into endgame with one of the most competitive and highest damage Necromancer builds of the season. This new take on minions absolutely crushes and is a nice change of pace from the normal way to play minions!

How it Plays
- Cast Decrepify to command your minions forward
- Cast Corpse Tendrils to group enemies once a corpse is formed
- Cast Soulrift/Bone Storm
- Cast Reap to activate Gospel Of The Devotee
- Sit back and watch your minions kill everything in sight
How it Works
The focus of the build is around the new seasonal powers Grim Reapers and Unstable Power that allows your Skeletal Warriors to cast Reap which will both automatically critically strike AND overpower guaranteed. And this Reap will scale with both your Minion modifiers as well as your own modifiers that directly scale Reap.
The main items we use to directly scale reap include:
- Shard of Verathiel
- Gospel of the Devotee
- Paingorger's Gauntlets
Blood Getter's Aspect is special in this build because it scales both our Reap and our minions damage, making it a Double Dipping multiplier.
Occult Dominion is run in our amulet to give us 7 minions to activate Hellbent Commander
All other minions in this build are sacrificed in order to scale our Reaps damage as much as possible.
Uniques
Shard of Verathiel: This unique offers an incredible damage increase at the cost of mana per Reap used by your minions. We use Lucky Hit Essence, Grim Harvest on the chest to mitigate the essence cost as well as Essence Per Second on our Chestplate early game.
Paingorger's Gauntlets: These gloves add an incredible amount of damage in the build, giving us much needed area of effect damage as well as massive single target damage as each Reap will echo and deal massive damage.
Gospel of the Devotee: A new unique added in Season 10 which adds a huge damage multiplier to our build
Blood Moon Breeches: These pants are a tried and true favorite for Necromancer players, but its even more powerful in this build as Hellbent Commander is a big damage multiplier for us to go along with the x50% Critical Strike Damage bonus
Shroud of False Death: A late game upgrade that gives you more damage than meets the eye. With just how many damage multipliers that are in our skill tree, all the +1 increases adds up to one of the biggest damage upgrades we can get in a single slot.
Chaos Armour Choices:
Paingorger's Gauntlets: This unique is a big damage multipliers, so we want it as Chaos Unique to maximize it's effect.
Gospel of the Devotee: Not only do you gain a lot of damage by getting this as a Chaos Unique, but getting it out of the focus slot allows us to run Titan's Fall on our focus for another damage multiplier the build gets to use. This is one the most important ones to get.
Lidless Wall: The best Chaos Armour in the game for Necromancer thanks to its increased Critical Strike Damage Multiplier per active Bonestorm. And when its run as a Chaos Unique, it removes the limitation of needing Sacrifices in your Book of The Dead to gain Bone Storms, instead giving you a limit of 10 which makes it perfect for this build.
Masterworking and Greater Affixes Explained
Masterworking
Masterworking (MW) enhances an item's stats. Each MW rank boosts all affixes by 5%. Ranks 4,8,12 give a 25% bonus to a random affix (MW Crit).
In this planner, the color blue on an item denotes that the affix got one MW Crit, the color yellow denotes that the item got two MW crits and the color orange denotes that the item got three MW crits.
For future reference the amount of MW Crits on an affix will be denoted by 1MW, 2MW, 3MW.
Greater Affixes
Greater Affixes (GA) on an item force the affix to roll at the top of it's range of possible values and then applies a 50% increase to its value. GA increases are additive with Masterworking increases.
In this planner, the yellow star to the left of an affix denotes that is a GA.
Example
To put it all in to practice, let's calculate what stat increase a GA Affix on a 12/12 Masterworked item with 2 MW Crits gets:Ranks 1-3, 5-7, 9-11 all give 5% -> 9 * 5% = 45%Two MW Crits -> 2 * 25% = 50%GA = 50% Total = 45% + 50% + 50% = 145%
Elixirs and Incenses
With the abundance of herbs now in the game it is now very easy to grab some consumables to either shore up big weakness with your character or to massively increase your strengths. I highly recommend you regularly keep Elixirs and Incenses running. Below I laid out the best consumables to use for every situation.
Elixirs
If you need more of any specific resistance or armor, use those elixirs first. Once your armor capped and resistance capped, look to use the Elixir of Advantage for the extra attack speed. If you're having trouble staying alive and your armor capped and resistance capped, you can use the Elixir of Fortitude to gain a 20% hp multiplier.
Incenses
For incense you have a couple of options, depending on what your character needs.
Core Stat
Sage's Whisper: Generally the best option as it gives the most amount of damage.
Spiral Morning: Not a bad alternative, as the all stat gives some armor and also helps hit breakpoints in paragon tree. Only use if there's specific paragon nodes you're trying to reach.
Resistance
Soothing Spices: Best all around option as it gives +10% all resistances and +2% max resistance to everything. Only use another option if needed to hit resistance caps.
Defensive
Song of the Mountain: Great early game option for the +300 Armor
Reddamine Buzz: Gives +750hp, best option if you are already armor capped.
