Build Overview

This build hasn't been played or tested. I will be updating it as I go during the Lord of Hatred launch.

Below is the Skill Tree I'm going to try and Aspects I'll be looking for to start the Lord of Hatred expansion.

The Metamorphosis Ultimate looks like it'll be a lot of fun and very powerful. Since Destruction Demon Metamorphosis boosts the skill level of all your Hellfire Skills my plan is to rush to the bottom of the Skill tree and max it out ASAP.

Doom is used to apply Hex to enemies as well as generate Wrath.
Sigil of Chaos is going to give a mega damage increase.
Hell Fracture is the main damage dealing ability.
Rampage and Nether Step are mobility skills.

I plan to also try out Blazing Scream and Terror Demon Metamorphosis with Dread Claws as my primary damage ability. I will adjust the guide to whichever is the most powerful.

Soul Shards

The Ritualist Shard should be great for this build since it works with Occult Skills and we have 3 of them. Twisted Fragment gives us a stack of Overpower for every 50 Wrath Spent, allowing us to constantly consume Hex stacks for more damage, Volatility and AOE explosions.

Once you unlock Destruction Demon Metamorphosis It's going to be hard to stay alive without some significant healing and total Life pool. Considering this I'm planning to stack Willpower, Life, Life on Hit and Life on Kill.

Fire Damage, Critical Strike Chance and Critical Strike Damage are all going to help shred through enemies.

Cooldown Reduction helps you move around with Rampage and Nether Step and also helps you stay in Demonform more often with Metamorphosis.

With leveling I never worry about finding the right Legendary Aspects but if you find any of the ones listed above they should be helpful. Any Legendary Aspects that help with Toughness, Healing, Cooldown, Hellfire or Occult Skills are going to be great.

Subo is hard to beat since he gives you a Map Hack, Movement Speed and Vulnerability.

Aldkin is your Reinforcement because Fields of Languish gives you 20% Damage Reduction when standing in the purple cloud it creates. You have to level with him a bit to unlock this skill - until then use Haunt.

How it Plays

The game plan is to use Doom to apply Hex to Enemies while casting Hell Fracture as your primary source of damage.

Rampage is your first Movement Ability and summons a demon to fight by your side.

Nether Step is another Movement Ability skill that helps you go fast and avoid danger.

Get the Sigil of Chaos down when you have a lot of monsters to kill.

Once you unlock Metamorphosis the strategy stays the same but you do a lot more damage at the cost of constantly losing life. Keep looking out for Life, Life on Hit and Life on Kill on your gear and use that health potion!
