How it Plays
The game loop is simple — you just need to know when to use certain abilities from time to time to trigger the Wild Transformation perk.
We start by activating Cataclysm, to have infinite Spirit.
Then we cast Claw and Maul to gain the Wild Transformation buffs, and we keep casting our wolves non-stop to deal massive damage.
Remember that when we’re shifting forms, we gain the Wild Transformation buffs, and when we go back to human form, Cyclone Armor will activate automatically, pulling mobs together. So positioning and grouping enemies will be key, but it’s just a matter of practice — not complicated at all.
That’s the general game loop — just keep shapeshifting and casting your wolves continuously.
And use Earthen Bulwark to stay fortified and maintain a barrier — this will help you survive longer in battle.
How it Works
We start with the Storm Companions pants, and the most important thing about these pants is that now our wolves become a Storm-type skill and deal Lightning Damage. Therefore, we benefit from passives and paragon nodes that apply to Storm-type skills. So the next item will be key for gaining even more damage, since it synergizes directly.
It’s the Gathlen’s Birthright. We’ve used this helm in several builds this season, since it has very interesting synergies for almost every build that uses Nature Magic skills.
And our wolves are exactly that — so the unique passive of this helm works perfectly for our companions, giving us the benefit of Perfect Storm, applying it directly to our wolves. But that’s not all — Gathlen’s Birthright also grants us Earthen Might, and with the Mighty Storm aspect, that passive also applies to our wolves. So now we get the benefits of Perfect Storm and Earthen Might.
But it doesn’t end there — these passives apply automatically to our wolves, and we’ll spend our skill point on One with Nature, so we get the benefit of three passives… Perfect Storm, Earthen Might, and One with Nature. Brutal.
There’s another key item for this build — the Mjolnic Ring, since it gives us infinite Spirit and also 40% more damage.
And why do we need infinite Spirit? Because now our companions are Core Skills thanks to the unique perk Savagery, which grants 80% more damage to companions and turns them into Core Skills — meaning they consume resources instead of having cooldowns.
