How it Plays
- Activate all your cooldowns, make sure Hurricane is up while going into a fight, it’s important to debuff all the enemies as quickly as possible.
- Activate Grizzly Rage, you are now invincible, turn into a giant werewolf and shred all your enemies.
- Start casting Tornados in melee on any large pack of enemies or elites you see.
- Keep Blood Howl buff up.
- If fights are tough cast Debilitating Roar for the extra damage reduction, fortify and healing.
- If you want to burst someone down, stand right on top of him, very useful against bosses.
- If the enemy's damage is still too high, start kiting backwards and let them walk into your Tornados.
- When Grizzly Rage is about to end, retreat and wait for the cooldown to be up again.
How it Works
The Aspect of the Rampaging Werebeast is what this build is constructed around. The more you crit the more crit damage you will gain. The entire gameplay revolves around having no cooldown on your ultimate and producing as many critical strikes hits as possible.
Tornados work amazingly well to stack Rampaging Werebeast but one of the coolest thing is having Almost infinite healing thanks to our boon ‘’Masochist ‘’ that heals for every crit, this has saved me from death so many times as my Tornadoes kept healing me even when I was not casting.
We sustain our spirit through Lust for Carnage and Perfect Storm. This means getting high crit chance and resource gen is very important. This also means we DO NOT have to run Storm Strike on our bar.
Core Skill
Tornado, it’s the perfect skill as it can crit more than once and has really good base Damage, the best feature of this skill is that it stays active even while you are not casting. Meaning it can heal you while you are being cc’d or while you have to move.
Ultimate
Grizzly Rage is our ultimate and the key part of the build as we work to try and reach an almost 100% Uptime of this ability, causing us to do increased damage and become immune to CC.
Keystone
Perfect Storm in combination with resource generation on gear is the perfect Keystone for this build since it improves on one key weakness of the build: performance outside Grizzly Rage.
Defense
- This build’s defense is massive.
- Storm skills like Hurricane and Cyclone Armor provide huge damage reduction and debuff the enemy's damage.
- This build is also filled with all the defensive passives we can take like Vigilance.
- Virtually infinite healing, often more important than defense itself, as long as you don’t get one-shotted you really can’t die with this build.
- Permanent Unstoppable, not being CC’d Goes a long way to help you stay alive, Grizzly Rage is the best source of Unstoppable in the game.
- Paragon Board, we are running an extremely optimized Paragon Board for Defense.
- We are hitting the Armor cap thanks to Disobedience and picking all the armor nodes in the paragon board.
- Fortify with Grizzly Rage allows us to make use of the stat, ‘’Damage reduction while Fortified’’
- Storm Skills also count as Werewolf skills and will Poison enemies, reducing the damage you take from them when using the correct Gear.
- Debilitating Roar adds another layer of defense for particularly difficult fights.
Required Stats
It’s important to have enough cooldown reduction for this build as Grizzly Rage should always be up if possible. You cannot have enough cooldown reduction, get as much as you can.
It's very important to get high resource generation and crit chance to maintain your spirit.
Nightmare Pushing
This build is top 2 for Nightmare Pushing, but has also one of the best speed clears in the game, Tornadoes are great at one-shotting enemies and moving to the next target.
Rings
An easy way to get a good starter ring for this build is to find a ring with high resource gen and max life on it which will mean you can easily reroll high crit chance on it.
Build Variant
Lower Paragon Tornado Storm Wolf
- For players who are still in the mid game, we adivse you to use the Lower Paragon Tornado Storm Wolf build.
- There's also another version of the Storm Druid that's centered around the "Lightning Storm" skill instead of "Hurricane".
- In this variation you also want to run the "Lightning Dancer's Aspect" instead of the "Stormchaser's Aspect" on your Ring to make you deal way more damage with your core skill by constantly casting 3 additional Bolts of Lightning Storm in an area around you!
"Attack Speed after Dodging" - Affix/Stat
Attack Speed after Dodging an Attack is an affix commonly found by Rogues and can be enchanted with a Rogue alt, this stat can roll up to 24.8% and it's the equivalent value of an +2 Envenom Roll, therefore it's best in slot but also annoying to get, feel free to replace it with any stat you like such as will, lucky hit or Storm Skill cooldown reduction.
Mana Issues
If you are having mana issues the common problem is the lack of enough resource generation and critical strike chance. You have two options:
1) Introduce a generator and get rid of your least favorite skill.
- Use Dire Wolf Aspect on your Amulet slot till your gear improves.
