Build Overview

The Auradin - Holy Light Aura Paladin Build Guide teaches you about Gear, Skills, Paragon, Playstyle & Seasonal Mechanics in Diablo 4 Season 14.

The Auradin has returned! Be the Lazy God running through dungeons while your Auras, in this case Holy Light Aura decimate everything. Holy Light Aura emanates from all allies, so we utilize Ceh to summon many wolves to increase our damage sources. This also works on Mercenaries, so make sure to hire them! With this take on Auradin, you are flying through all content in the game with ease as it is tweaked for maximum Mobility.

This is the main variant for Torment 10 to Torment 12 farming.

Equipment

Core Items and Requirements

  • Crown of Lucion provides [x]58.5% damage when Mythic, but requires you meet certain thresholds to get the most out of it:
    • 10 Faith Regeneration.
    • 6 Second or less Fanaticism Aura Cooldown to sustain Crown of Lucion stacks.
  • Transfigure Aspect of Interdiction on Amulet to cap our Block Chance and enable Aspect of Redirected Force.

Talisman

Unique Charms

  • Blood-Mad Idol is our highest damage Charm and grants more movement speed.
  • Griswold's Opus is very close in damage but doesn't make you squishier.
  • Endurant Faith is an amazing defensive option.

Berú of Radiant Fire is used because Berú of Iron Conviction is simply too weak to be used currently.

  1. Cast Fortress for the damage buff Resolve Damage Bonus Fortress provides.
    1. Re-Cast to move the Fortress.
    2. Grants Unstoppable Fortress which enables the Ghostwalker Aspect buff that grants a 20% Movement Speed buff that exceeds the 200% soft-cap.
  2. Use Condemn to group up enemies, apply Vulnerable and get a 30% Movement Speed buff that exceeds the 200% soft-cap.
  3. Use Holy Light Aura, Fanaticism Aura and Defiance Aura for their buffs and to lower Cooldowns with Resplendence Glyph.
    1. Casting Fanaticism Aura on Cooldown is important to maintain Crown of Lucion's buff.
    2. Casting Holy Light Aura on Cooldown is important to maintain Dawnfire and do damage.
    3. Sundered Night automatically casts Consecration for the powerful buffs.
    4. Stand inside of Consecration to gain massively increased Aura Potency.
  4. Use Aegis to apply Judgement with Faith is My Shield.
    1. Aegis grants 30% Armor, Block Damage Reduction Aegis and Block Chance to cap our Block for Aspect of Redirected Force
    2. Judgement is needed for Judicator and Berú of Radiant Fire.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does Holy Light Aura work?

  • Holy Light Aura scales its damage linearly with Attack Speed, that is why we are stacking it.
  • Aura Potency from Sundered Night or other sources is a direct damage multiplier.
  • Holy Light Aura emanates from all your allies, so each of your Ceh-Rune Wolves, replicate it.
  • Dawnfire deals Fire damage and benefits from +Ranks to Holy Light Aura and Holy Light Aura Potency.
  • Dawnfire benefits from Aspect of Proselytizing. (As seen here)

How do I use the Loot Filter?

  • Use the widget to copy the filter and paste it in-game
  • Very Strict filter for the Endgame Variant
  • Shows items with normal color, if it has 3 of the 4 right affixes for Legendaries or 2/4 for Uniques.
  • RED means it is ideal, check vs current gear for upgrades.
  • LIGHT BLUE means upgrades for Codex of Power.

I completed all the Paragon Points what do I do now?

  • Move on to the next Variant
    • Example: Endgame -> Mythic Speedfarm

What do the Wolves from Ceh-Rune even do?

  • They count as allies and thus act as Holy Light Aura emitters.
  • They apply Chill which can turn to Freeze given enough buildup.

Why are we using Block Stuff with a 2H Weapon?

We can still Block with a 2H Weapon, we will just block less damage.

Block enables the powerful Aspect of Redirected Force, Aspect of Interdiction allows us to cap our Block.

Why don't we use Shield Bearer?

It is currently bugged and not accounting for Aspect of Interdiction.

What about Judicator Oath? Why is this used?

  • Judgement Damage Bonus Holy Light Aura gives Holy Light Aura a crazy damage boost against enemies affected by Judgement. We can apply Judgement
  • The Berú of Radiant Fire Set also has great synergy with Judgement.

How do we apply Vulnerable?

By casting Condemn with Gather the Guilty.

How are we getting Fortified?

  • Fortify Consecration gives us Fortify.

Why are we using Ruby, Topaz & Emerald instead of Diamond in Jewelry?

  • Fire, Lightning and Poison are the most common incoming damage types. They are also massively overtuned in how much damage they currently deal. Cold and especially Shadow are extremely rare and more in line. We try to resist the common ones with their dedicated Gems, massively increasing our overall survivablity. Diamonds only provide +250 Resistance to all Elements, where as dedicated Gems provide +1750 to their given Resistance instead.
  • "But what about Physical Resistance?"
    • Phyiscal damage is not nearly as overtuned as the other problematic damage types and does not require tweaking the gems to Skulls to hedge against it.
    • Also, Phyiscal damage can be blocked, where as e.g. Poison puddles on the ground can not.
