Use the alternate fire mode to create a Grapple Point to infinitely Grapple Melee off of to deal damage.
Armor
With max stacks, you can get up to 275% melee damage bonus for your Grapple Melee and Frenzied Blade.
This build abuses the strength of Grapple Melee on the Titan. The buff to Wormgod Caress allows up to a 275% increase in melee damage with max stacks. Pair this with a One-Two Punch shotgun to increase by another 100%. The final boost to melee damage is Banner of War which grants a bonus 40% to melee damage when active. Overall this gives over a 10x multiplier to melee damage.
The purpose of The Navigator is its catalyst which allows you to create a Grapple Point with its alt-fire mode. This allows you to repeatedly Grapple to the created point and Grapple Melee a target for damage.
First, build up stacks of Wormgod Caress and Banner of War. Then create the Grapple Point. From there you continuously hit the target with the One-Two Punch shotgun and then Grapple Melee. With Thread of Ascent there is no need to worry about reloading the shotgun, and you can continue this loop until the Grapple Point vanishes.
The neutral game of this build is also very good in the strength of Frenzied Blade for clearing waves of enemies. Continuously create Tangles for melee energy and continue this cycle.
- Get Melee kills to build up stacks of Wormgod Caress, Banner of War, and create Orbs of Power
- Alt-Reload with The Navigator and create a Grapple Point
- Fire shotgun at target to activate One-Two Punch
- Grapple to Navigator's Grapple Point
- Grapple Melee
- Repeat steps 3-5
