Deadlock Yamato Build

Yamato is an assassin that can be played both Spirit based or Weapon based. This build is a hybrid between the two that focuses on having good burst damage while still being able to put out consistent damage.

• First buy Ammo Scavenger and begin stacking it to give you strong poke in lane.

• Pick up Mystic Burst and Infuser so that you are able to get better trades. Make sure to activate Infuser before casting Power Slash (1).

• Extra Health and Enduring Spirit help you not get one shot by enemy burst damage and all ins.

• Mystic Shot and Cold Front are your main sources of damage outside of Power Slash.

• After buying your early game items start saving up to 3000 souls, here you want to buy Torment Pulse as your first Flex Slot purchase.

• Fill out the rest of your weapon slots with Slowing Bullets and Soul Shredder Bullets.

• Next you buy Spirit Lifesteal and Healbane to enable you to get involved in fights that aren’t just duels.

• With a big focus on burst you need to go for Improved Burst, it's fine to get this later as it deals % max hp damage and at this point it will have high effectiveness as everyone’s health pool increases.

• If you have another flex slot consider picking up Extra Spirit and upgrade it as you get more souls.

• Later in the game you begin buying cheap but effective spirit items like Mystic Vulnerability and Duration Extender.

• You can choose to upgrade Shadow Transformation (4) with Superior Duration.

• If you are strapped for slots you can upgrade Extra Spirit into Improved Spirit and Boundless Spirit.

• If you have too much money you can consider some of the following items:

  • Mystic Reverb - This is the best item for increasing your burst damage.

  • Refresher - Try to only buy this after buying Superior Duration.

• Warp Stone gives you an extra bit of mobility.

• Ethereal Shift is your best answer to enemies’ Silence Glyph.
