Try to push the waves quickly and look for full charge Power Slash. You can dash and Power Slash at the same time to gain momentum. You can look to use right click medium to long range for quick easy poke.

Try to get full value off Restorative Shot and Headshot Booster (use Restorative Shot on heroes and spam Headshot Booster off cd).

Yamato has the worst base health in the game so buying Extra Health + Enduring Spirit helps counteract that a bit.

Once you have ult you can look for opportunities to tower dive or gank other lanes.

You reach a heavy power spike when you have your Power Slash maxed. So try to start playing really aggressive once you have that.

You can apply all 3 passives of Mystic Shot + Soul Shredder Bullets + Mystic Vulnerability with one right click. So the usual combo would be Grapple onto them, right click, Cold Front and then full charge Power Slash for a huge burst of damage.

If ult is on cd you can look to start power farming. Yamato mid game has very fast jungle clear (make sure to left click all the monsters before Power Slashing them to apply Soul Shredder Bullets).

Mystic Reverb is really powerful in teamfights with the aoe slow and damage, and can secure kills if they run away at 1 hp with the debuff applied.

Once you have Refresher you are unkillable. Make sure you fully utilize this item and use 4 Power Slash with it ( Power Slash - ult- Power Slash - Refresher - Power Slash - ult - Power Slash).

Here are some other items you can buy. Get upgrades earlier if enemy has majority bullet or spirit.

If they are spamming curse or silence glyps on you, choose Debuff Reducer or Debuff Remover.
