The drip marketing for Version 1.6 is out, and Hoyo have revealed three new characters: Silver Soldier – Anby, Trigger, and Pulchra.

Pulchra was first introduced as a side character in the story back in Version 1.2. You’ll sometimes face her as an enemy in things like Shiyu Defense or Hollow Zero. Her community reception during Version 1.2 was so high that it looks like Hoyoverse decided to design a fully playable character for her. (Or maybe this was always part of the plan)

Pulchra’s release is interesting for two main reasons:

1. She is a Physical Stun Agent who is releasing in the same patch as Trigger, an Electric Stun Agent.
2. Her faction is Sons of Calydon, which already has a plethora of utility agents (Lighter/Caesar/Lucy).

Until we see her kit, we won’t quite know how Pulchra fits into the meta. She could potentially be an Anomaly/Disorder stunner to synergize with Piper/Burnice, or she may synergize with SS Anby, who is also releasing.

Pulchra may also be a F2P accessible stunner for those who can’t afford to pull for both SS Anby and Trigger. Whatever the case may be, having more A Rank options in the game is generally a good thing, assuming she has some meta relevance.

ZZZ Pulchra Release Date

Pulchra will release in Version 1.6, which launches on March 12th, 2025. We don’t know if she will be in the first half or second half, but speculation indicates she might be an A Rank featured in the first half of the patch.

Pulchra ZZZ Build Guide Overview

We can’t recommend a full build for Pulchra without knowing her exact kit. Her role as a Stun Agent does indicate some things, but we don’t know if she scales with any particular stat. For example, Caesar’s shield scales with her Impact stat. Pulchra may increase her Impact/Daze with other stats like Crit/ATK/PEN.

Overall, there are some safe assumptions we can make, but specific recommendations will have to wait.

ZZZ Pulchra Best W-Engines

Since Pulchra is an A Rank Agent (assumption), this means that her Signature Engine will also be A Rank. If Pulchra is featured on SS Anby’s banner, that means her Engine will also be featured on SS Anby’s Engine Banner.

Pulchra’s signature will undoubtedly synergize with her kit, but we don’t know how exactly. It could increase her personal damage, the speed at which she stuns, it could buff the entire team’s damage, etc.

If you’re already planning to pull for SS Anby’s Engine, getting copies of Pulchra’s Signature will be a nice bonus. Even still, there likely are other options that perform close to or better, so I wouldn’t recommend pulling just for Pulchra’s Engine.

ZZZ Pulchra Drive Discs

Assuming ZZZ sticks with its Drive Disc schedule, Version 1.6 should introduce two new Drive Disc sets. One of these sets could work very well with Pulchra, but that remains to be seen.

There are still good options already in the game such as:

• Shockstar Disco (Stun faster)
• Swing Jazz/Astral Voice/Proto Punk (Stun slower but allows team to deal more damage)

Stat recommendations are usually straightforward, but for utility Agents, their kit matters a lot to what stats you want. Check back later to see what the best build is for Pulchra.

ZZZ Pulchra Teams

Pulchra + Anby

First off, let’s assume that Pulchra and SS Anby are on the same banner. If this is the case, it’s very likely they will work together well. ZZZ always makes banners that allow new players to construct a near full team just from the one banner.

Examples:

• Jane + Seth + Anby
• Miyabi + Piper + Soukaku

It’s a bit of a weird combination since the story does not indicate any connection between the two characters, but things may change/happen in Version 1.6. Considering Trigger is also releasing in 1.6, Pulchra will likely be a “budget” option for players who don’t want to pull two limited Agents back to back.

Once the kits are fully revealed, we’ll be able to compare Pulchra to Trigger and see what differences there may be. Pulchra with M6 could potentially compete very closely with Trigger M0.

Pulchra + Standard Attackers

As a Stun Agent, Pulchra can potentially be used in a variety of teams. She has the Physical attribute to pair with Nekomata or Billy, and her Sons of Calydon faction pairs with Agents like Piper or Burnice.

Pulchra can also pair with a team like Lucy/Soldier 11 if you don’t have Agents like Lighter/Caesar to pair with Soldier 11.

There’s a lot of potential teams that are possible, but we won’t know her exact role in the meta until her kit is fully revealed.

Wrap Up

This wraps up my initial impressions on Pulchra. She’s releasing in the same patch as Trigger, who is also a Stun Agent. This is a bit of a weird timing, but Pulchra is only ZZZ’s second A Rank Agent to release outside of Version 1.0. (The only other being Seth)

Getting another A-Rank Agent is definitely a good thing, as F2P players or new players have more options for team building. Let’s hope that Pulchra is a strong a flexible stunner, and isn’t just relegated to being a worse stunner than Qingyi/Lighter/Trigger.
