Best Marvel Snap Decks Tier List (March 2024)

The Best Marvel Snap Decks

Welcome to our Marvel Snap best decks tier list where I try to cover all of the top decks in the game. In this article, I’ll be covering what I believe are the best decks in the meta, with a focus on high rank Infinite.

Marvel Snap’s March Season, “Avengers vs. X-Men,” is well underway, and the meta has evolved dramatically from previous months. Previous OTAs and balance patches have resulted in a fairly new meta for the game.

New releases such as Hope Summers, Pixie, Mockingbird, and Cannonball have all impacted the meta in some way, with Hope and Mockingbird having a much larger impact.

The recent OTA nerfed the top decks like Thanos and Discard, but those decks are still at the top of the meta. Unless more major changes come, the meta seems to have settled for now.

Marvel Snap Deck Tier List

Let’s get right into the tier list. Be sure to use the table of contents on the sidebar to jump to different decks.

  • S – Thanos Control
  • S – Discard
  • S – Phoenix Force
  • S – Loki
  • S – Destroy
  • A – Midrange Hope
  • A – Hela
  • A – Thor Tech
  • A – Zoo
  • A – Tribunal
  • A – Junk Galactus
  • B – Surfer Patriot
  • B – Pixie Evo
  • B – Sera Midrange
  • B – Move Bounce

Disclaimers

Overall, the decks in this list will be more catered to Ladder than Conquest. Conquest is a very high skill format, but most players seem to prefer Ladder now that there’s Infinite ranks.

Credits to snap.fan for their deck builder and images sourced from their website.

Lastly, there are many more deck archetypes that we would consider to be C tier. While I would put some decks in C tier, the list would get too long if I put every single archetype I can think of. As such, we’re mainly showing some decks in B, the semi-competitive/ fun decks.

Thanos Control – S-Tier

Marvel Snap Thanos Control 3-27

Thanos Control Decklist:

eyJOYW1lIjoiTmV3IERlY2siLCJDYXJkcyI6W3siQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiUHN5bG9ja2UifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkplZmZUaGVCYWJ5TGFuZFNoYXJrIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJNb2JpdXNNTW9iaXVzIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJIb3BlU3VtbWVycyJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiU2hhbmdDaGkifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkN1bGxPYnNpZGlhbiJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiVmlzaW9uIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJNb2NraW5nYmlyZCJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiQmxvYiJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiQWxpb3RoIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJUaGFub3MifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6Ik1hZ25ldG8ifV19
  • 2-cost: Psylocke, Jeff
  • 3-cost: Mobius, Hope Summers
  • 4-cost: Shang-Chi, Cull Obsidian
  • 5-cost: Vision, Mockingbird
  • 6-cost: Blob, Alioth, Thanos, Magneto

Commentary:

Even with the nerf to Mind Stone, Thanos continues to be a dominant threat in the meta. Professor X is starting to see less play, especially with the release of War Machine, but he’s still a fine inclusion.

While the deck only runs 2 true tech cards with Shang-Chi and Mobius, cards like Magneto and Reality Stone can often win games through their effects as well. The deck then uses the rest of the deck to play efficient Power cards like Cull and Mockingbird.

Even if you don’t play Cull/Mockingbird, Hope Summers allows you to play double 6-cost on turns 5 and 6, resulting in big Power plays from Blob/Magneto.

Replacements:

  • Professor X
  • Wave

Discard – S-Tier

Marvel Snap Discard 3-27

Discard Decklist:

eyJOYW1lIjoiTmV3IERlY2siLCJDYXJkcyI6W3siQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiTWllayJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiQmxhZGUifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6Ik1vcmJpdXMifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlRoZUNvbGxlY3RvciJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiU3dhcm0ifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkNvbGxlZW5XaW5nIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJDb3J2dXNHbGFpdmUifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkRyYWN1bGEifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlByb3hpbWFNaWRuaWdodCJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiTW9kb2sifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkFwb2NhbHlwc2UifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkhlbGljYXJyaWVyIn1dfQ==
  • 1-cost: Miek, Blade
  • 2-cost: Mobius, The Collector, Swarm, Colleen Wing
  • 3-cost: Corvus Glaive
  • 4-cost: Dracula, Proxima Midnight
  • 5-cost: M.O.D.O.K.
  • 6-cost: Apocalypse, Helicarrier

Commentary:

Discard has been near the top of the meta for a while now, and the nerf to Apocalypse definitely hurts. Losing 2 Power can be the difference in many games, but the deck is still very strong.

The deck simply overpowers a lot of other decks while also dodging popular tech cards like Shadow King, Mobius, or Shang-Chi.

The deck can also scale very high with Mobius and Collector. While you won’t overpower a Knull or Tribunal, the deck largely avoids tech cards and is very consistent.

Replacements:

  • Lady Sif over Corvus Glaive/Miek

Phoenix Force – S-Tier

Phoenix-Force 3-19

Phoenix Force Decklist:

eyJOYW1lIjoiTmV3IERlY2siLCJDYXJkcyI6W3siQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiR2hvc3RTcGlkZXIifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6Ikh1bWFuVG9yY2gifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6Ik5pY29NaW5vcnUifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkNhcm5hZ2UifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkRvY3RvclN0cmFuZ2UifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6Ik11bHRpcGxlTWFuIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJWZW5vbSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiRGVhdGhsb2sifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlNodXJpIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJUaGVQaG9lbml4Rm9yY2UifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6Ik5pbXJvZCJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiQXJuaW1ab2xhIn1dfQ==
  • 1-cost: Ghost-Spider, Human Torch, Nico Minoru
  • 2-cost: Carnage, Doctor Strange, Multiple Man
  • 3-cost: Venom, Deathlok
  • 4-cost: Shuri, Phoenix Force
  • 5-cost: Nimrod
  • 6-cost: Arnim Zola

Commentary:

With Lockjaw decks no longer putting crazy numbers on the board, we’ve been seeing a resurgence of Phoenix Force. Both Phoenix Force and Nimrod can put a lot of Power on the board, while being quite evasive.

Nimrod duplicates himself if the opponent tries to Shang-Chi, and Phoenix Force can move around, making it hard to hit.

Loki – S-Tier

Loki 3-19

Loki Decklist:

eyJOYW1lIjoiTmV3IERlY2siLCJDYXJkcyI6W3siQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiS2l0dHlQcnlkZSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiUXVpbmpldCJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiU25vd2d1YXJkIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJUaGVDb2xsZWN0b3IifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkNhYmxlIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJKZWZmVGhlQmFieUxhbmRTaGFyayJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiRWxzYUJsb29kc3RvbmUifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6Ik1vYml1c01Nb2JpdXMifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkFnZW50Q291bHNvbiJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiU2hhbmdDaGkifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6Ikxva2kifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6Ik1vY2tpbmdiaXJkIn1dfQ==
  • 1-cost: Kitty Pryde, Quinjet, Snowguard
  • 2-cost: The Collector, Cable, Jeff
  • 3-cost: Elsa Bloodstone, Mobius M. Mobius, Agent Coulson
  • 4-cost: Shang-Chi, Loki
  • 5-cost: Mockingbird

Commentary:

Hope Summers has replaced the Zabu engine in Loki decks, allowing the deck to move away from 4-costs like Ms. Marvel or Iron Lad.

The change to Cable also allows him to fit in the deck quite well. With more space for 2-cost cards, Elsa Bloodstone makes her way back into the deck as a way to buff up Kitty Pryde or Jeff.

Mockingbird also comes in over Devil Dinosaur to potentially become a powerful endgame threat. If you draw her after playing Loki, you can easily reduce her cost. If you draw her early, you can simply let her transform into a new card from Loki.

Destroy – S-Tier

Marvel Snap Destroy 3-27

Destroy Decklist:

eyJOYW1lIjoiTmV3IERlY2siLCJDYXJkcyI6W3siQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiRGVhZHBvb2wifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6Ik5pY29NaW5vcnUifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlgyMyJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiQ2FybmFnZSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiV29sdmVyaW5lIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJIdWxrYnVzdGVyIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJLaWxsbW9uZ2VyIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJWZW5vbSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiRGVhdGhsb2sifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkxhZHlEZWF0aHN0cmlrZSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiS251bGwifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkRlYXRoIn1dfQ==
  • 1-cost: Deadpool, Nico Minoru, X-23
  • 2-cost: Carnage, Wolverine, Hulk Buster
  • 3-cost: Killmonger, Venom, Deathlok
  • 6+cost: Arnim Zola Knull, Death

Commentary:

With other top decks receiving slight nerfs, we’re seeing Destroy come back a little into the meta. The deck hasn’t really changed much, but the 12 slot has been flexible. You can run Arnim Zola or a variety of tech cards to surprise opponents.

This can really help the deck considering it’s a very known deck, so having some surprise factor can go a long way.

Replacements:

  • Arnim Zola
  • Taskmaster
  • Shang-Chi

Midrange Hope – A-Tier

Midrange-Hope 3-19

Midrange Hope Decklist:

eyJOYW1lIjoiTmV3IERlY2siLCJDYXJkcyI6W3siQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiQmxhZGUifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6Ik1vcmJpdXMifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlRoZUNvbGxlY3RvciJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiU3dhcm0ifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkNvbGxlZW5XaW5nIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJDb3J2dXNHbGFpdmUifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkxhZHlTaWYifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkRyYWN1bGEifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlByb3hpbWFNaWRuaWdodCJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiTW9kb2sifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkFwb2NhbHlwc2UifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkhlbGljYXJyaWVyIn1dfQ==
  • 1-cost: Kitty Pryde
  • 2-cost: Shadow King, Jeff
  • 3-cost: Hope Summers, Spider-Man, Gladiator
  • 4-cost: Shang-Chi, Ms. Marvel, Miles Morales
  • 5-cost: Vision
  • 6-cost: Doctor Doom, Magneto

Commentary:

Midrange decks have been around for a long while now, and this deck looks to utilize Hope Summers to ramp toward Doctor Doom/Magneto.

Kitty Pryde also gives you an easy way to gain Energy without filling up the Hope Summers location. Other cards like Vision, Jeff, and Spider-Man also do the same.

While this deck won’t get a ton of Power on the board, it puts up a respectable amount while having room for cards like Shadow King and Shang-Chi.

Hela – A-Tier

Hela 3-19

Hela Decklist:

eyJOYW1lIjoiTmV3IERlY2siLCJDYXJkcyI6W3siQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiQmxhY2tLbmlnaHQifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkJsYWRlIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJDb3J2dXNHbGFpdmUifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkxhZHlTaWYifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkRyYWN1bGEifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6Ikp1YmlsZWUifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkJsYWNrQ2F0In0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJIZWxhIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJNYWduZXRvIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJHaWdhbnRvIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJJbmZpbmF1dCJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiRGVhdGgifV19
  • 1-cost: Black Knight, Blade
  • 3-cost: Corvus Glaive, Lady Sif
  • 4-cost: Dracula, Jubilee, Black Cat
  • 6+-cost: Hela, Magneto, Giganto, The Infinaut, Death

Commentary:

While you can still play Hela with Lockjaw, it seems more players are opting to use Discard cards like Corvus, Lady Sif, and Blade instead.

Cards like Jubilee and Dracula can still output high Power without needing Hela, and Black Knight also gives some flexibility as well.

The deck is definitely weaker than before, but it’s still a strong deck with a high ceiling.

Replacements:

  • Iron Lad/Ghost Rider are also solid inclusions over Jubilee

Thor Tech – A-Tier

Marvel Snap Thor Tech 3-27

Thor Tech Decklist:

eyJDYXJkcyI6W3siQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiQmV0YVJheUJpbGwifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkVuY2hhbnRyZXNzIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJKYW5lRm9zdGVyIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJKZWZmVGhlQmFieUxhbmRTaGFyayJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiS2lsbG1vbmdlciJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiTWF4aW11cyJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiTW9iaXVzTU1vYml1cyJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiTXNNYXJ2ZWwifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlNoYWRvd0tpbmcifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlNoYW5nQ2hpIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJUaG9yIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJaYWJ1In1dfQ==
  • 2-cost: Shadow King, Zabu, Jeff, Maximus
  • 3-cost: Killmonger, Mobius M. Mobius, Thor
  • 4-cost: Shang-Chi, Ms. Marvel, Enchantress, Beta Ray Bill
  • 5-cost: Jane Foster

Commentary:

With Mobius rampant in the current meta, Sera tech or Midrange decks haven’t seen much play. However, Thor Midrange has popped up as potential alternative.

Instead of using Sera to discount cards, Jane Foster draws you Mjolnir and Stormbreaker to flood the board on turn 6 with Power. With this core of Power, you can fill the rest of the deck with tech cards to answer your opponent with 6 Energy on the final turn.

While the deck runs Zabu, the deck can still play through Mobius quite easily as long as you play Thor/Beta/Jane.

Zoo – A-Tier

Marvel Snap Zoo 3-27

Zoo Decklist:

eyJOYW1lIjoiTmV3IERlY2siLCJDYXJkcyI6W3siQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiTmVidWxhIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJJY2VtYW4ifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6Ik5pY29NaW5vcnUifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlNxdWlycmVsR2lybCJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiRGF6emxlciJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiU2hhbm5hIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJIb3BlU3VtbWVycyJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiS2FaYXIifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6Iklyb25MYWQifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkN1bGxPYnNpZGlhbiJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiQmx1ZU1hcnZlbCJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiTW9ja2luZ2JpcmQifV19
  • 1-cost: Nebula, Iceman, Nico Minoru, Squirrel Girl
  • 2-cost: Dazzler
  • 3-cost: Shanna, Hope Summers
  • 4-cost: Ka-Zar, Iron Lad, Cull Obsidian
  • 5-cost: Blue Marvel, Mockingbird

Commentary:

Zoo is another popular deck that can utilize Mockingbird very well with cards like Squirrel Girl and Shanna. You’re at risk of clogging your locations, but the deck outputs a lot of Power.

In the past, Zoo decks used things like Titania and Martyr for Power, but other 1-cost cards like Nico and Iceman provide more utility for the deck.

Hope Summers is also a nice inclusion to ramp some Energy to play even more cards.

Replacements:

  • Vaklyrie
  • Ant-Man
  • Titania
  • Martyr
  • Mobius
  • Shang-Chi

Tribunal – A-Tier

Tribunal 3-19

Tribunal Decklist:

eyJOYW1lIjoiTmV3IERlY2siLCJDYXJkcyI6W3siQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiWmFidSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiUmF2b25uYVJlbnNsYXllciJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiTXlzdGlxdWUifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6Ik1hZ2lrIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJXYXZlIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJKdWJpbGVlIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJNc01hcnZlbCJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiSXJvbkxhZCJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiSXJvbk1hbiJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiU2VyYSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiT25zbGF1Z2h0In0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJMaXZpbmdUcmlidW5hbCJ9XX0=
  • 2-cost: Zabu, Ravonna Renslayer
  • 3-cost: Mystique, Magik, Wave
  • 4-cost: Jubilee, Ms. Marvel, Iron Lad
  • 5-cost: Iron Man, Sera
  • 6-cost: Onslaught, The Living Tribunal

Commentary:

Tribunal is a deck that comes and goes in the “meta,” but for most players, you can simply just play it on your climb and be fine. You will lose games to decks with Enchantress or Location control, but against other decks, you simply win.

It’s a fairly straight forward deck that is basically unbeatable if your opponent has no direct counter to your cards.

Replacements:

  • Cosmo can be slotted in over something like Ravonna or Wave to try and protect your cards from Rogue/Enchantress.

Junk Galactus – A-Tier

Junk-Galactus 3-19

Junk Galactus Decklist:

eyJOYW1lIjoiTmV3IERlY2siLCJDYXJkcyI6W3siQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiSG9vZCJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiU2VsZW5lIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJKZWZmVGhlQmFieUxhbmRTaGFyayJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiUmF2b25uYVJlbnNsYXllciJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiR3JlZW5Hb2JsaW4ifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlZpcGVyIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJTaGFuZ0NoaSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiU2VudHJ5In0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJIb2Jnb2JsaW4ifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkFubmloaWx1cyJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiQWxpb3RoIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJHYWxhY3R1cyJ9XX0=
  • 1-cost: The Hood, Selene
  • 2-cost: Jeff, Ravonna Renslayer
  • 3-cost: Viper
  • 4-cost: Shang-Chi, Sentry
  • 5-cost: Annihilus
  • 6-cost: Alioth, Galactus

Commentary:

The Junk archetype has now evolved to include Galactus. Selene finds a home in this deck by afflicting cards like The Hood or the Goblins to hand over to your opponent. Annihilus can send The Hood or The Void from Sentry over, allowing you to slam Galactus for the win.

In the past, there were many easy counters to Galactus, but Galactus decks fare much better into metas with less targeted hate against him.

Even still, the more popular the deck gets, the more likely people will start adding in Galactus hate like Cosmo, Debrii, etc.

Replacements:

  • Black Widow over Viper

Surfer Patriot  – B-Tier

Marvel Snap Surfer Patriot 3-27

Surfer Patriot Decklist:

eyJOYW1lIjoiTmV3IERlY2siLCJDYXJkcyI6W3siQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiQW1lcmljYUNoYXZleiJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiRm9yZ2UifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6Ik1yU2luaXN0ZXIifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlBhdHJpb3QifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkJyb29kIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJTaWx2ZXJTdXJmZXIifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkFic29yYmluZ01hbiJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiSXJvbkxhZCJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiSXJvbk1hbiJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiQmx1ZU1hcnZlbCJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiTW9ja2luZ2JpcmQifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkFsaW90aCJ9XX0=
  • 1-cost: America Chavez
  • 2-cost: Forge, Mister Sinister
  • 3-cost: Patriot, Brood, Silver Surfer
  • 4-cost: Absorbing Man, Iron Lad
  • 5-cost: Iron Man, Blue Marvel, Mockingbird
  • 6-cost: Alioth

Commentary:

Unfortunately, Sera Surfer decks with things like Sebastian Shaw aren’t very strong right now. However, Mockingbird breathed some life into the old Brood Absorbing Man version of Surfer.

The deck is able to play many cards that summon other cards like Brood, Absorbing Man, and Mister Sinister.

These are all strong Power generators that can be buffed by Patriot and/or Surfer. Mockingbird then allows the deck to output more Power with a potential 0/9.

Pixie Evo – B-Tier

Pixie-Evo 3-19

Pixie Evo Decklist:

eyJOYW1lIjoiTmV3IERlY2siLCJDYXJkcyI6W3siQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiU3Vuc3BvdCJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiTmVidWxhIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJNaXN0eUtuaWdodCJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiUGl4aWUifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IkplZmZUaGVCYWJ5TGFuZFNoYXJrIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJDeWNsb3BzIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJIb3BlU3VtbWVycyJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiSGlnaEV2b2x1dGlvbmFyeSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiUHJvZmVzc29yWCJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiQWxpb3RoIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJTaGVIdWxrIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJIdWxrIn1dfQ==
  • 1-cost: Sunspot, Nebula, Misty Knight
  • 2-cost: Pixie, Jeff
  • 3-cost: Cyclops, Hope Summers
  • 4-cost: High Evolutionary
  • 5-cost: Professor X
  • 6-cost: Alioth, She-Hulk, Hulk

Commentary:

SheNaut was a somewhat common deck in the meta, but Pixie has turned the deck into something new. Hope Summers also allows the deck to no longer rely on things like Magik to soak Energy for She-Hulk.

You can now play Hope Summers on 3, Cyclops on turn 4, and soak 6 Energy on turn 5. This will allow you to play She-Hulk + Hulk/Alioth on turn 6. You can also look to lockdown a location on turn 5 with Professor X, winning the game on turn 6 with Hulk.

Pixie is in the deck to toss some variance into the deck. You can get a 1-Cost Hulk, 2-cost Professor X, etc. Pixie allows the deck to be very surprising, as you won’t know what to expect from your deck.

Sera Midrange – B-Tier

Sera-Midrange 3-19

  • 2-cost: Hazmat, Zabu, Lizard, Maximus
  • 3-cost: Luke Cage, Ghost, Gladiator
  • 4-cost: Shang-Chi, Man-Thing, Enchantress, Typhoid Mary
  • 5-cost: Sera

Commentary:

In the current meta, Sera Midrange isn’t seeing a ton of play, but those who are have swapped to a Hazmat centered list. With many decks flooding the board to reduce Mockingbird’s cost, Hazmat gains a ton of value.

This version of Sera has been popping up more and performing better than older versions with other tech cards like Legion or Armor.

As the meta continues to evolve, the best Sera list may change as well.

Bounce Darkhawk – B-Tier

  • 2-cost: Beast, Falcon
  • 3-cost: Rock Slide, Hope Summers
  • 4-cost: Werewolf, Sentry
  • 5-cost: Darkhawk, Annihilus

Commentary:

Darkhawk is back in the Bounce shell with the recent change making him a 5-cost. Because of this, the deck no longer relies on the Zabu engine and can fit other things like Hope Summers.

The deck has a ton of Power it can output, and has a proactive gameplan compared to midrange decks.

Move Bounce – B-Tier

Commentary:

Move Bounce also appears to be one of the best Move decks (outside of Phoenix Force). By bouncing your Human Torch, you can avoid things like Killmonger or Shang-Chi. The deck also mainly looks to output a ton of points while being somewhat tricky with Heimdall.

The deck can be somewhat predictable, but if you have Hercules on the board, things can get wild. You can somewhat control where cards will go, but Hercules will add some randomness as well.

Methodology

We’ve tried our best to evaluate these decks based on a few key factors:

  • Overall Strength: The first factor is simply how much Power a deck can put onto the board. At the end of the day, Marvel Snap boils down to a numbers game, and decks that can put high Power on the board will be strong.
  • Consistency: Consistency is quite hard to determine for Snap due to the snap mechanics. You can always retreat and make up for it if what your deck does is extremely powerful, albeit difficult to pull off. Even still, being able to enact a similar game plan repeatedly leans to an overall smoother climb.
  • Flexibility: For Marvel Snap, flexibility is somewhat equivalent to “surprise factor.” A deck is flexible if you have a multitude of options that your opponent cannot easily counter/predict. This means you aren’t always enacting 1 gameplan every game, but can adapt based on the situation.
  • Counterplay: Lastly, a deck should also be analyzed based on possible counters. If a deck has the highest ceiling but is easily countered, it may be difficult to win. Conversely, if a powerful deck has space to play it’s own tech cards, that will help it’s overall strength/ranking as well.
