9 Champions We Want to See in Swarm
Swarm is one of the best game modes Riot has made in a very long time. A previous issue they had with older game modes was that it was on their old system, so it wasn’t easy to maintain or update, let alone transfer to the new LoL. Unfortunately, we have not seen many game modes or rotating game modes in quite a long while.
With Swarm being created recently, Riot probably created this system with the future in mind. Hopefully, this will mean that Riot will update it and bring it back with other champions in the future. This time around, we saw fan-favorite champions like Jinx and Yuumi making an appearance; however, there are a lot of good champions they could introduce, too.
In this Mobalytics guide, we will discuss some champions that we would love to see in the future of this game mode. Obviously, there are many good options for this game mode and many different themes Riot could take. For instance, they could do seasonal themes, such as winter or summer (which are connected to pool party skin lines or Christmas lines), as well as star guardian or dark star. There are so many options.
1. Lux
One of the most popular champions in League of Legends is Lux. As she has so many skin lines and a lot of flexibility, she could fit into a number of team compositions and theming.
For Lux’s weapon, she could use her Q, just like Seraphine’s weapon. For her E, she could either give a shield, or could use her normal E instead. Regarding her Ultimate, it would be nice to see an AOE Ultimate. If you remember years ago in another Riot PvE gamemode, a Lux could shoot a rainbow around her, so something like that again could be cool!

2. Brand
One of the most flexible picks this season is Brand, and we think he could be a good champion for Swarm. Just like Lux, he has quite a few different skin themes, which means he could fit in a lot of different team comps.
For Brand’s weapon, he would probably have his Q ability as his basic attack. It is similar to other projectiles that other champions like Seraphine had. For his E spell, either Brand’s SR W or E would work fine. For his Ultimate, a “tidal wave” effect, dealing tick damage on targets could be really cool.

3. Pyke
The third champion on our list is Pyke. Pyke has seen some features in recent times. Notably, he is in Arena Mode, but he could also be played in Swarm as well!
Do you know when you press Pyke’s Q, it does a little jab? I think that would be a good weapon for Pyke as it is similar to Briar’s weapon attack currently in Swarm. For his E spell in Swarm, maybe his dash would work? And for his Ultimate, it would definitely be an AOE Ultimate like he has in LoL.

4. Sona
Riot added Seraphine to Swarm, so why not Sona? Sona is a favourite among many Support players, and as she has a lot of different skins and theme options, she could slot into many different styles of Swarm.
For Sona’s weapon, I think her Q would be a perfect weapon attack in Swarm as it is quite similar to some other champions like Seraphine. For her E spell, we could take the same route as Sera and go with a shield, and for her Ultimate, make it a large AOE Crescendo. Basically, copy Seraphine!

5. Urgot
We’re adding Urgot to this list due to his kit having a lot of gameplay potential. I also feel that Urgot could fit into some theming like Halloween or “dark-styled” themes.
In my opinion, Urgot’s basic weapon should just be his standard auto-attack in League of Legends. His basic attack, especially the empowered one, would be fine. For his E ability, potentially, it could be his Q spell, and for Urgot’s Ultimate—you know when you get a kill and it flees everyone away? Something along the lines of the fleeing animation.

6. Fiddlesticks
A surprising but champion I think could be really fun would be Fiddlesticks! Not every champion would fit in every style, but like Urgot, a Halloween theme could be good for Fiddlesticks!
The most challenging champion to think of is Fiddlesticks. I don’t know what suitable weapon would work for him, but maybe his fear could be his weapon. With every auto-, he fears enemies slightly? I am not sure! Let’s keep his E and Ultimate spells the same as they are in LoL.

7. Samira
Samira is up next! Ever since her release, she has been a decent champion, and I think she could be really strong like Xayah in Swarm.
Samira’s weapon could be just like her Q. At close range, she swipes enemies, and for longer-ranged enemies, she gains a ranged auto-attack. For her E ability, it could be a spell shield that blocks incoming damage, and her Ultimate, on a low cooldown, deals AOE damage.
You can find the best build for Samira on Samira’s Champion page.
8. Kai’Sa
Let’s now talk about another one of Riot’s most popular champions, Kai’Sa! Kai’Sa could fit into any style of Swarm remake and Riot could even create a new skin line featuring her to announce a new gamemode!
Kai’Sa’s weapon can just be her Q ability. It has a lot of projectiles, so if it is also scaled with projectiles, she could throw out more “rockets” to increase her damage output. For her E ability, it could be a movement tool like her E, or it could be her W instead. For her Ultimate. I think something on the lines of Aurora’s Ultimate would be okay!

9. Swain
The final champion on our list is Swain. Swain is far from the most popular champion this season, but lets not disregard his strengths in previous seasons.
For Swain, his weapon could be Swain’s Q ability on normal League of Legends. I think this would suit him well. For his E ability, it could be his E in LoL, and for his Ultimate, it should just be his normal Ultimate too where he gains stats and deals AOE damage.
Finally, you can learn how to play Swain in any role with Swain’s Champion Page.
In Conclusion
That about sums up our article on some of the champions we would love to see in the next version of Swarm. We hope that Riot continues to create versions of this game mode in the future and that we see more champions that players can pick. I hope that they revisit this game mode for future events.
