1. Rumble vs Evelynn
Evelynn is an assassin who can catch enemies out of position or while they walk around the rift. Eve is good into Evelynn for multiple reasons, but one of them is that her Ultimate can be used to dodge his Ultimate.
4 tips to counter Rumble as Evelynn
- Avoid any confrontation with Rumble pre-six. His Q, W, and E will melt you, and you won’t be able to do anything without your Ultimate.
- Once you hit level six, try to gank as much as possible. You can even fight Rumble if you manage to charge your W upon him.
- Always try to gank squishy lanes in this game. Once you get ahead, you can single-handedly destroy the enemy team. Ensure that you don’t stay too long in his Ultimate.
- Rumble will always try to counter gank you when you are trying to gank enemies. Use your Passive to deep ward the enemy Jungle and keep your team safe.
2. Rumble vs Gwen
Gwen is one of the latest champions to hit Summoners Rift. She is incredibly strong in skirmishes thanks to her Passive and Q. If she can dodge one of his E’s- she should win any 1v1 with him.
4 tips to counter Rumble as Gwen
- Always try to go for a fully stacked Q on Rumble during duels. It will allow you to regenerate a lot of health and can easily let you win a duel.
- Your E will be pivotal to your success in this lane. It can let you dodge his R burn, which forms a significant portion of your damage.
- Your W will help let you get close to Rumble in this matchup. You will be able to kill him with your Ultimate after that.
- Rumble will always try to counter gank you when you are trying to gank enemies. You may want to save your E to get away from the Ultimate burn range.
3. Rumble vs Xin Zhao
Xin Zhao seems to be great into pretty much every AP Jungler. Rumble is no exception in this and he should easily kill the Rumble in a fight. Don’t be afraid to invade his jungle and try to fight him if you’re ahead.
4 tips to counter Rumble as Xin Zhao
- Your early game is far superior to the enemies. With this in mind, try to hunt them down and fight them. If you spot them, look for the all in.
- Getting ahead and putting them behind will help you win the early game. You have higher control over the Dragon compared to the enemy Jungler. Try to take the objective when you can to get your team ahead. A good time to take it is when the enemy Jungler is on the opposite side of the map.
- Use your early game strength to gank your allies as often as possible. As you’re strong in a 1v1 and a 2v2, you can easily gank/ counter gank your allies.
- Your goal is to get ahead and set the enemy Jungler behind. You can do this by going into their jungle, hunting them down and killing them. When running in, keep an eye on the map and back away if the enemy Junglers lanes start to rotate.
4. Rumble vs Taliyah
While Rumble does win the level 6, Taliyah can get more ganks off in the early game which is very beneficial for herself and her team. Don’t be afraid to go for aggressive early plays to get an early lead.

5. Rumble vs Fiddlesticks
Fiddlesticks is a great team fighter and will be very strong in 5v5 team fights. One way Fiddlesticks can be better than Rumble is that Rumble’s Ultimate is easy to miss, while Fiddlesticks has a much larger radius.

Honestly, I would still ban him though because he is incredibly strong right now!
