Zenless Zone Zero Anomaly Fighting Style

Anomaly

Hoyo has just released their drip marketing for Miyabi, a highly anticipated character. The story in the game makes her out to be a very powerful character, and her kit and damage will likely reflect that.

While we don’t know the full details on her kit, there are already lots to speculate on.

ZZZ Miyabi Release Date

Miyabi’s banner will be likely on the second half of Version 1.4, which will run from December 18th, 2024 to January 8th, 2025. She will likely be second as she was the second character to be drip marketed, with Harumasa being the first.

ZZZ Miyabi Kit Review

While we don’t know details on Miyabi’s kit, there are a few interesting things to note:

  • Her Attribute symbol is new, but mostly resembles Ice. This could mean she is dual element or has something else special about her kit. She may be Ice while her Ghost friend is Fire?
  • Miyabi’s Attribute in the old Closed Beta was Ice.
  • Her Anomaly trait is quite interesting to note if she is indeed Ice.

Anomaly

Firsly, let’s talk about her Anomaly trait. Anomaly has been getting a lot of love, with characters like Jane, Burnice, and Yanagi all coming out. With Miyabi now a part of the Anomaly roster, it will be interesting to see how she fits in with the others, or if she’s more of a hyper carry.

We don’t know if she will be played as a Hyper Carry like Jane, or as a Disorder member like Yanagi. It would make sense to be Disorder so you could pair her with Yanagi, but we can’t be certain. Her Section 6 teammate could just be Soukaku and she might not play well with Harumasa/Yanagi.

You could also argue that the Ice Anomaly is more similar to Physical/Assault, meaning she might lean toward Hyper Carry, similar to Jane.

Ice

One thing to note is that Ice naturally has the worst Anomaly multipliers in the game. Furthermore, The Freeze effect increases the Crit DMG taken by enemies, which doesn’t help Anomaly Agents. (It doesn’t increase Jane’s Assault Crit either)

Because of this, Miyabi will likely need some type of special mechanic in her kit that buffs Anomaly or buffs her damage in some way. We also don’t know the details of her “special” attribute. She may introduce a new type of Anomaly, or use a mixture of elements.

We’ll see in due time.

ZZZ Miyabi Teams

I won’t dive into teams too much, since this is all speculative. Here are some initial ideas.

Miyabi Lighter Burnice Disorder

If Miyabi can be played in a Disorder team, Burnice will be a great teammate. I expect Miyabi to be an on-fielder just based on her design, but that may not be the case. Even still, Lighter would be a great third character in this team.

He’ll provide the Stun/Daze, while also buffing Ice/Fire teammates. These three look to make a perfect trio in terms of synergy.

Miyabi Yanagi + Rina/Soukaku

It would make sense to have a full Section 6 team be playable/synergistic. Even if Miyabi is more similar to Jane, playing Miyabi + Yanagi in a Disorder style team is still doable. While Jane + Yanagi isn’t an amazing combination, it still works and can be played to beat the hardest content.

Miyabi Hyper Carry

With a larger roster of characters now, there are quite a few Agents to pair with Miyabi.

Stunners

  • Lighter
  • Lycaon

Supports

  • Rina
  • Soukaku
  • Lucy

Defense

  • Caesar
  • Seth

You can really just pick two out of any of these characters and likely have a solid team. As a Limited Agent, Miyabi will do a lot of the carrying. These teams are attractive to build because they’re less resource/gear intensive than building two characters for a Disorder team.

If you’re just starting out and looking to prep for a Miyabi team, Hyper Carry will be your friend.
