Scarlet Monastery Library Dungeon Guide - Bosses, Loot & Quests

Scarlet Monastery Library is a dungeon in WoW Forever. Located in Tirisfal Glades, once a bastion for education and enlightenment, this place of learning and holy study, like the rest of the monastery has now become an military compound, intolerant of non-human races.

This dungeon is designed for levels 34 - 40 and, whilst it can be completed towards the lower end of that range, having a party around level 36 makes the dungeon considerably more manageable.

Mechanics

Houndmaster Loksey is accompanied by three Scarlet Tracking Hounds. The hounds can deal significant damage together, especially when affected by Loksey's Bloodlust, so the group should decide how to handle them before starting the fight. Here are some key considerations to be mindful of:

• Hounds: Focus the dogs down first, or use crowd control on one while the group kills the others.
• Crowd Control: Polymorph and other abilities that work on beasts can help reduce incoming damage.
• Bloodlust: Be ready for increased damage as the boss and hounds become more dangerous.
• Threat: The tank should establish threat on the hounds before the damage dealers use area attacks.
• Healing: Watch the tank closely while multiple hounds are alive.

Mechanics

Arcanist Doan is a caster who uses Arcane Explosion, Silence and Detonation. His Detonation can cause heavy damage to players who remain close, so the group needs to recognise the cast and move away quickly. Here are some key considerations to be mindful of:

• Detonation: Move to the edge of the room or out of range when he begins casting it.
• Arcane Explosion: Be ready for party-wide damage when fighting close to the boss.
• Silence: Casters and healers should be prepared to have their spells interrupted temporarily.
• Arcane Bubble: Doan can shield himself, making it important to react to his defensive phase rather than continue attacking blindly.
• Scarlet Key: Loot the chest behind Doan after the fight to obtain the key needed for the Armory and Cathedral entrances.
