Calico

Calico is essentially a slower
Piranha with a scaleable Crit Chance, and the Friend tag (which
Piranha truly deserves, poor fella). Alongside an arsenal of Weapons Calico has some decent potential.
Ideally you'll want faster Weapons that can raise the Crit Chance to a decent number before its first strike. It'll take at least four activations (at Bronze) to reach baseline
Piranha status, and even then it's much slower. However, having a limitless ceiling is cool alongside items like
Swash Buckle.
Captain's Quarters

Captain's Quarters is a really cool and versatile Property; very fitting of the name and aesthetic. For Ammo Weapons alone it offers sustainable scaling and Reload which is fantastic, but the Haste/Charge makes it even better.
On the surface this can already do a solid job, but in the right build it'll be working overtime. I think its late game viability will depend on whether there's a good build that can fully utilize its potential, but even without it's a solid foundation.
Card Table

Card Table could be a unique enabler for a build that focuses on a particular Friend. This would guarantee your ideal item receives Multicast, ensuring you get the most out of the otherwise blank Medium slot.
In some cases this could act as a Medium-sized scalable
Shipwreck, which is pretty wild to think about. Perhaps we're in for a whole new type of One-Weapon build.
Mr. Richardson

Mr. Richardson has some real potential as a Small Shield-scaling item. The fact that it grows with both Haste and Slow triggers allows it to fit into various setups, or even benefit from their combined effects.
It's not uncommon to setup a spammy amount of triggers, and if the Haste helps to accelerate Mr. Richardson himself, its six second Cooldown really won't feel all that long. It may be going too far to call to compare it to
Seaweed, but I do think it's within the realm of possibility.
Old Saltclaw

Old Saltclaw is the direct counterpart to Mr. Richardson, instead scaling its own Damage instead of Shield. Taking everything prior into account, it's easy to imagine its potential.
Sharkray is somewhat of a comparison, with higher scaling values but at a Medium size. Although once you factor in the combined Haste and Slow, the variables start to look a lot closer. Overall we'll have to wait and see how these two Small Friends line up.
Orange Julian

Orange Julian is kinda like Vanessa's very own
Pyg's Gym, except it has a very long Cooldown. However, in exchange we get a Medium-sized item that has a much easier means of scaling, and offers a huge buff once it goes off.
Since the Damage bonus comes from gaining gold, it's closer to the likes of
Cash Cannon except that it extends that buff across the entire board. With a decent Economy (via
Cove,
Ambergris etc.) this could get out of hand quick, so it's definitely worth considering.
Piano

Piano offers the ability to turn any item into a Friend, while also applying Haste to any Friends that get used. Very few items have the ability to apply tags, making this provide a rather niche effect with interesting applications.
I'm excited to see the various builds players come up with, especially those from other Heroes.
Seadog's Salon

Seadog's Salon is a Haste and Slow machine with its Multicasting abilities. This is the obvious build-around centerpiece alongside Mr. Richardson and Old Saltclaw.
Any item with scalable Multicast is always something to watch out for, because the more an item casts the more it can trigger other items on the board (not to mention the crazy amount of Haste/Slow triggers).
Seashadow

Seashadow has an incredibly powerful effect that applies Cooldown reduction across your entire board. Its closest comparison is probably
Figurehead, which is a staple for Aquatic builds for that reason.
However, there are a few key differences. On the plus side, you can utilize Seashadow continuously (albeit slowly) to apply even more CDR during the fight; and it's not tag restrictive. However, unlike
Figurehead, the benefit doesn't come immediately.
Overall, this is probably one of the items with the greatest potential, especially since it has the Vehicle tag, unlocking access to many powerful skills (
Flashy Pilot,
Command Ship, etc).
Shot Glasses

Shot Glasses is another Shield-scaling item like Mr. Richardson, but this time scales based on Ammo usage. Early on this should be easier to work with since Haste/Slow triggers are a little more specific to enable.
However, later on it'll likely be dropped since Ammo items won't generally be used at a competitive enough rate. Its eight second Cooldown also doesn't do it any favors. Overall, a decent early game pickup for Ammo builds.
