Overview

It's that time again, we're right around the corner from the next Season of The Bazaar, expected to go live on July 2nd, 2025.

Spoilers have begun, and we're diving into Pygmalien's new Piggles-themed Expansion.

Let's dive into our early impressions!

A New Type of Piggles

Premium Piggles

Premium Piggles has a pretty unique passive effect, allowing it to not only reduce the Cooldown of adjacent Small items, but also increase their Value. It's similar to Ice Luge, while also helping items like Badblocker.

Unlike the regular set of Piggles which specifically buff the stats of your other items, the Premium Piggles pack their own punch.

All of these have the passive effect which reduces their Cooldown based on their stat's value. Green Heals, Orange Burns, Red Damages, and Yellow Shields. It'll take some work to scale them, but any item that could reach a one second Cooldown certainly has potential.

New Items Revealed

Display Case

Display Case is a cool Economy item with its ability to scale two items' Values simultaneously. This obviously works well with Badblocker, but even without synergies, it's an item you could bring into PvE fights for extra gold.

Outside of Badblocker synergies, it could have some use alongside fast acting Premium Piggles, creating a Duct Tape-like effect (albeit way better).

I'm interested to see how players creatively put it to use, but overall I expect it to be used mostly for its Value scaling effect.

Money Furnace

Money Furnace certainly captures its flavor very well. Spending five gold to scale itself at the start of each fight is a huge cost, especially early on. Unlike Luxury Kiuas, you won't end up positive.

From what we could see in the preview trailer, its Silver iteration does have an eight second Cooldown, meaning we can expect it to get even faster at higher tiers. This actually makes the item quite strong, IF you have the Economy to support it.

Having the built-in Value-doubling effect is a plus, allowing you to skip items like Balcony. Despite it quickly eating your gold, you always have the option to scale it through traditional ways like Ledger and Rewards Card.

PiggleStorm Gaming House

PiggleStorm Gaming House is a pretty wild scaling item, going much wider than the likes of 28 Hour Fitness. This is obviously setup to fit alongside the Premium Piggles, simultaneously scaling their stats and reducing their Cooldowns.

Knowing how fast Toys can activate, PiggleStorm Gaming House will be Charging insanely fast, creating far more scaling than what its low base values may lead you to imagine.

Piggles Board

Piggles Board looks like a powerful enabler for a spammy Toy archetype. Already knowing how fast items like Yo-Yo and Marbles are, it's not hard to imagine its Charge potential.

I think what it'll mostly come down to is board space, as Yo-Yo already takes advantage of key passive effects from Model Ship and Jabalian Drum.

Piggles Launcher

Piggles Launcher fits hand in hand with the PiggleStorm Gaming House as it gains the benefits of all four types of scaling. It also has innate Charging abilities, making it very fast within a Toy archetype.

Outside of this, it looks pretty underwhelming. However even at its worst, it can still be a reasonable early game option that benefits from items like Ganjo or Apropos Chapeau.

Piggles Protectors

Piggles Protectors looks like a decent early game Shield item that fits into the Toy archetype. Since it scales based on adjacent Toy use, you get some solid defenses without committing to a Shield strategy.

As a Small Shield item it could fit well with Showcase and 28 Hour Fitness setups. Even if it's not good enough in the late game, it does help fill the gap early on.

Sponsored Apparel

Sponsored Apparel is a really unique item. Unlike other Value scalers, this one only triggers during combat, and comes with a pretty hefty cost.

Eight gold is a lot, and it's possible the amount could change at higher tiers. However, being able to apply an increase to ALL your items could make it a lot easier to enable things like Riceballer or Badblocker.

There does appear to be a Toy Value theme within this Expansion, though I'm skeptical of its importance compared to the Charge spam we're accustomed to.

Streaming Setup

Streaming Setup is all-in on the Toy Value game plan. As it stands now, I can't see this being better than what we already play. However, it's certainly interesting.

Value doublers always have potential, especially when there's a Property that takes good advantage of it. Having a built-in Crit Chance is also quite good. Overall, we'll have to wait and see what's available.

Tournament Arena

Tournament Arena is a ridiculously strong item. All of The Bazaar's Large Multicast granters have been very strong, and exist at Gold+ tier for a reason.

Being available at Silver makes this far more accessible, while also doubling as a source of Income!? And that's not to mention its ability to find duplicate Toys like Yo-Yo.

This item is INSANE. While we do already have Model Ship at Silver, the fact that Tournament Arena applies Multicast to the entire board is a big improvement.

After all, for Yo-Yo to benefit from Model Ship it has to give up one of its adjacent sides. With Tournament Arena, players have complete control for an optimal setup.
