Overview

Giant Lollipop is a fast beatdown archetype that combines heavy Damage with spammy Slows, and occasionally, a ton of Health. Among Jules builds, it's one of a kind.

However, putting it together can be somewhat tricky due to its Quest requirements, often forcing you to play Burn first before pivoting later. But if you're patient, you'll often be rewarded.

Example Early Game Path

Note: Jules builds have extremely contextual positioning due to the RNG placement of the Stoves and Coolers. Your mileage may vary.

Giant Lollipop is usually best pursued when found early, as it can take some time to complete both of its Quests (Use 100 Food + Slow 80 Times). However, depending on how fast you can output Slows and spam Food, you may still be able to pivot later.

Core Synergies

  • Excellent Vintage is a key pickup to help fulfill Giant Lollipop's Quests (Slow in particular).
    • The Cooler slot is a must, so take that into consideration when planning out the board.
    • Honeycomb can be useful as well as an extra source of Slows.
  • Rice and Skillet are two of the common Food Burn openers.
    • Rice provides Regen and has higher scaling potential, but needs Haste support to work.
    • Microwave is ideal, but you'll also need Scorchpepper (for Rice) since they both need to be Heated. Coffee is a passable alternative.
    • Skillet requires less item support, but does need additional base Burn to be useful.
    • Early Burn skills like Immolating Spark and/or Final Flame are ideal, but Cinders can help too.
  • Butter, Hot Sauce, Banu Leaves, and Instant Noodles are all great spammy Food items to help complete the Quest.
    • Even without acquiring Giant Lollipop just yet, they're still very useful among Food Burn builds.

Tips & Tricks

  • The Stove and Cooler slots are quite competitive early on, especially when working towards completing Giant Lollipop.
    • If found very early, you can consider including it on board, but it's best added with at least one Quest unlocked.
  • While the Weapon vendor isn't a priority when playing a Burn build, if you intend to potentially pivot to Giant Lollipop, don't forget to visit it when you can.
  • Pasta Maker is a worthwhile pickup early as Jules' Economy item.

Example Mid Game Additions

Depending on how things are going early on, feel free to just commit to the Burn game plan and opt out of Giant Lollipop entirely.

Core Synergies

  • Giant Lollipop often relies on Charge and/or Haste effects to keep it running at a reliable speed.
    • Pizza Cutter, Decanter, and Cookbook all help make this possible (can also be played together).
    • Decanter is technically available earlier, but since each Charge item relies on upgrades to be viable, it's often best picked up later.
    • Avoid including other Food on the board alongside Decanter and Cookbook. Otherwise, they could be targeted instead of Giant Lollipop.
    • Cutting Board combines Charge with Damage scaling. A solid option if you're lacking base Damage.
  • Dragonmelon grants Max Health as long as you have a Cooler slot available. A great way to bolster the build both offensively and defensively.

Tips & Tricks

  • Several items in the build rely on upgrades to be viable. Avoid buying Silver versions of the above items if it's too late (unless you can ensure an upgrade).
  • Chocolate Coin is almost always worth buying, especially if you're still holding onto a number of Food items.

End Game Build Breakdown

Core Synergies

  • Dishwasher is a core pickup for its Damage-doubling capabilities.
    • Alongside Coffee + Food Truck, you can assemble an easy four item Giant Lollipop board.
    • While not the most optimal setup compared to others, this one is far less reliant on upgrades, making it a great backup choice.
  • Pizza Cutter + Decanter + Cookbook creates endless Charges, assuming they are mostly Gold/Diamond-tier.
    • Jumbo Wok can also work as an alternative Charge item if needed.
  • Bubblegum Floor provides excellent sustain, giving the build a more defensive option if desired, but in exchange for speed.

Tips & Tricks

  • Giant Lollipop can work alongside many different boards, so make the most of what you're given. Upgrades/item tiers can often be a lead indicator.
  • Keep an eye out for off-Hero items that have good synergy. Belt is a great option, especially alongside Dragonmelon.
