Welcome to our trait guide, where we'll be covering the Juggernaut trait in the new TFT Set 18: Enchanted Wilds. In this guide, we'll explain how Juggernaut works, cover its different champions, explore Juggernaut Meta Comps, and provide a quick summary of the other potential traits you could branch into.

Juggernaut Meta Comps

Juggernaut gives your carries a frontline built for longer fights. You can work towards 6 Juggernaut or keep a smaller core alongside stronger damage dealers, depending on your items and the units you find.

Here are a few comps that play around the Juggernaut trait.

Juggernaut Flex

Juggernaut Flex builds towards 6 Juggernaut, giving Zyra time to scale while Sivir handles your AD items. Amumu takes the tank items until Maokai is upgraded and has built up stacks, with Ashe joining later.

Yorick and Rakan give you an early Juggernaut pair, with Karma and Yunara completing a Blossom opener. Add Vi or Scuttlecrab as you level, then roll at 8 for Zyra and frontline upgrades.

A Juggernaut Emblem is a strong indicator, letting Kennen replace Sejuani while keeping the trait active. Seraphim’s Staff also suits this board, helping Zyra make use of the longer fights.

Carries: Maokai, Zyra, Sivir and Ashe
Leveling: Fast 8

Ashe to Ashes

Ashe to Ashes puts Ashe and Sivir behind 4 Juggernaut, with Maokai eventually becoming your main tank. Rakan earns his slot through both Juggernaut and Vanguard, pairing with Taric to strengthen the frontline.

Start with Yunara, Karma, Yorick and Rakan, or use Caitlyn with Scuttlecrab. A strong Sivir and Amumu board at level 8 can preserve health while you save towards 9.

AD components and extra gold or XP from augments or Encounters are the clearest indicators to play this board as it's rather expensive.

TFT Juggernaut Champions

Rakan Fae Vanguard Juggernaut 1g

tft set 18 rakan

Rakan’s ability gives him a shield. He also grants a shield to the ally who deals the most damage. This ability is purely utility and will provide an additional shield for the key carry, keeping them alive longer.

Yorick Blossom Summoner Juggernaut 1g

tft set 18 yorick

[Link to Champion Page]

On death, he spawns a Spirit Walker. His active restores health while dealing physical damage to the enemy he hits. At a 1-cost, we shouldn’t expect Yorick to be a carry, but his ability might be useful when it comes to extending the duration of a round and providing time for the carries to deal damage to win the round.

Scuttlecrab Riftbeast Juggernaut 2g

tft set 18 scuttlecrab

[Link to Champion Page]

Scuttlecrab’s Passive replaces attacks with a dance that deals damage to all adjacent enemies. The Active burrows underground, granting them durability and healing over time. The Green Buff restores health when units fall below a threshold. Scuttlecrab will be a front-line tank who will be hard and annoying to kill due to the burrowing, the durability and the additional healing it does.

Sejuani Solar Juggernaut 2g

tft set 18 sejuani

[Link to Champion Page]

Sejuani will briefly gain a shield and then cleave in a cone shape, dealing damage to enemies she hits. She will need tanky items to be useful in the game, as the damage and shield combo isn’t a lot for her.

Vi Primal Juggernaut 3g

tft set 18 vi

[Link to Champion Page]

The Passive restores health on each attack, and the Active for Vi’s ability restores some of her missing health, gives her attack speed, durability, and immunity to CC. Her ability will give her extra sustain, which will help her survive against strong team compositions.

Amumu Inferno Juggernaut 4g

tft set 18 amumu

[Link to Champion Page]

Amumu’s Passive restores health and deals damage to nearby enemies. The active deals damage to nearby enemies and stuns them. This ability is very similar to Amumu’s kit in League of Legends. He will deal AoE damage, and the stun can be really good in late rounds.

Maokai Old Growth Juggernaut 5g

tft set 18 maokai

[Link to Champion Page]

Maokai’s Passive blocks damage, and when he blocks damage, a Sapling jumps towards a nearby enemy. On death, the Saplings jump out. His Active deals damage to targets and restores some of his missing health. Maokai’s kit is quite strong, and he can deal a lot of damage over time with his Saplings, which helps him win those late rounds.
