Welcome to our trait guide, where we'll be covering the Executioner trait in the new TFT Set 18: Enchanted Wilds. In this guide, we'll explain how Executioner works, cover its different champions, explore Executioner Meta Comps, and provide a quick summary of the other potential traits you could branch into.
Executioner Meta Comps
Executioner has options for both AD and AP carries. You can build around its natural champions, give another carry an Emblem or gain the trait through Kha’Zix’s evolutions.
Here are a few comps that play around the Executioner trait.
Moonlight Mantis
Moonlight Mantis starts with an early Kha’Zix so he has time to build Rival stacks. Pair him with Ornn, Alistar and LeBlanc, then add Diana for damage and Hecarim as your main tank.
At level 7, reroll Kha’Zix, Diana and Hecarim. Take Ravager as Kha’Zix’s first evolution, then Executioner. Ezreal or Soraka can join later, adding another Executioner and using your spare items.
Hand of Justice components and an uncontested Kha’Zix are good reasons to commit. Pandora’s Bench can help finish your 3-stars by turning spare 3-costs into units you need.
Carries: Kha’Zix, Diana, Hecarim and Ezreal Leveling: Level 7 Slow Roll
BlossomExe
An Executioner Emblem on Ahri is the main reason to choose Blossom.Exe. She carries alongside Ezreal, with Sett tanking and Gnar joining later. The Emblem lets you reach 4 Executioner at level 8.
Yunara and Karma can hold your AD and AP items in a Blossom opener. Elderwood with LeBlanc also works.
Without the Emblem, you can add Kennen at level 9 for 4 Executioner, although Ahri won’t receive its bonuses.
Carries: Sett, Ezreal, Ahri, Gnar Leveling: Fast 8
Solar Yunara
Solar Yunara keeps Yunara as your main carry, with Sejuani tanking and Karma using AP items. Azir activates 2 Executioner, giving Yunara ability crits while you prioritise items such as Spear of Shojin, Last Whisper and Deathblade.
Begin with Yunara, Karma and Yorick for Blossom, then slow roll at level 6 for your 2-cost carries. Keep cheap copies along the way to work towards Solar’s five 3-star requirement.
Several early Yunara copies and a completed AD item are good indicators. Prismatic Ticket helps you chase those upgrades, while Solo Plate suits Sejuani if she holds Gargoyle Stoneplate and starts alone in her row.
He gains bonus attack speed and summons soldiers. The following attacks are replaced with commands for the soldier. It doesn’t cost a lot of mana, so it will be relatively easy for Azir to proc this ability early on in each round.
Ezreal blinks away from the current target and deals bonus damage and gains attack speed. Every 5th cast consumes the bonus attack speed and fires a blast through the target that deals damage. In the later rounds, the blink will be useful to escape strong frontline and tanky enemies who might stick to squishy champions like Ezreal.
Soraka deals damage to the current target. If she has already called a star on the target, then additional stats will be called as well. This ability could be really useful against tanks, especially if she has multiple items, and she could shred the tanky frontliners.
Kennen charges up, gains AP per burning enemy. Then he gains a shield and rushes through the nearby grouped enemies. He unleashes a Hex Firestorm that deals damage to all enemies he rushes through. His ability is very strong versus comps that focus on grouping closely together.
