Build Overview

Leveling & Endgame Guide for Shadow Assassin for Poisonous Concoction / Poisonous Concoction of Bouncing into Bladefall + Blade Blast.

───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

You will find multiple leveling variants that will help you have a smoother leveling experience.
Starting with Cobra Lash for the first few levels, then transitioning into Poisonous Concoction. You can then either farm or buy your Poisonous Concoction of Bouncing through the Lab (Trials) OR simply transition to our Endgame Build earlier by switching to the Bladefall build.

In 3.29 Assassin has a lot of good and viable builds such as the Viper Strike of the Mamba, Bladefall, Icicle Mine of Fanning and many more.

Credit goes to the creator(s) of this idea. Here are some amazing build creators you can go check out -> Jungroan, Ky, Telvanni

  • Squishy
  • Needs Gear for Endgame

Build Variants

This endgame build is the Bladefall + Blade Blast in combination with Spellslinger.

Below you will find ALL details and explanations for each section of this build such as Abilities, Gear, Passive Tree, Ascendancies and much more to make your experience easier to understand and master.

───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

SUMMARY OF IMPORTANT INFO:

  • You can transition to this build around levels 35 and 40, however you need to have atleast 300 Energy Shield and you need to be specced into Eldritch Battery.
  • We use Frenzy as our main spamming ability, which will then trigger both Bladefall and Blade Blast due to Spellslinger
  • If you decide to transition late into this build, you might experience some Defensive issues, especially if you havent focused on maximizing your ES, Suppress, Mana and Life.
  • Passive Tree plays a HUGE role for our Mana Sustainability & Management.
  • On our Gear we mostly look for Hybrid EV/ES bases with as much Resistances & Life as possible.
  • This build is pretty squishy if you dont prep for it early on. Things like Mistwalker, Mind Over Matter, Max life, Res, Leeching, EV/ES will help.

───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

The idea behind this build is NOT my creation. There are multiple brilliant guides out there by creators like Ky & Telvanni that are similar and/or better. Full credit goes to the creator(s) of this idea.

Equipment

Prophecy Wand
Amethyst Ring
Sharkskin Gloves
Harlequin Mask
Varnished Coat
Chain Belt
Onyx Amulet
The Highwayman
Sovereign Spiked Shield
Murder Boots
Divine Life Flask
Stibnite Flask
Jade Flask
Diamond Flask
Quicksilver Flask

Weapons:

Wand: One of the best bases you can go for is the Prophecy Wand as it has higher Crit and Spell damage.

Mod Priority:

  • %Physical
  • Flat Physical
  • %Spell Damage
  • Level of Physical Spell Skills
  • Spell Crit
  • Crit Multi

Buckler: On the Buckler we want to balance defense and offense while also capping our res.

───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Gear:

For the Body Armour, Boots, Gloves and Helmet, we want to look for EV/ES Hybrid Bases and stack as much Max Life + Resistances as possible. Another good mod would be Spell Suppression too.

On the Belt, you wanna do the same.

───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Rings:

A cheap and really good option is the The Highwayman ring. This will provide us with early leeching, movement speed and a ton of Rarity.

Rare Rings are a good source of Chaos Resistance by looking for Amethyst Ring bases. Good mods you can go for are things like, Max Life, Attributes, Resistances, Energy Shield.

───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Amulet:

Onyx Amulet is a strong first choice of a base due to the Attributes. You want to look for Max Life, Elemental Resistances, Global Crit, Max / Increased Energy Shield.

Some good Instilling options are Light of Divinity | Instinct

───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Flasks:

We use 4 Utility based Flasks & 1 Life Flask. We craft the ''Used when Charges reach full'' mod from the Crafting Bench on all 4 Utility based Flasks so we can automate them.

Utility Flask 1 -> Quicksilver Flask
Utility Flask 2 -> Diamond Flask
Utility Flask 3 -> Jade Flask
Utility Flask 4 -> Stibnite Flask

There are a few important SUFFIXES that you might consider adding on your Flasks.
Increased Movement Speed,
Critical Strike chance,
Reduced Effect of Curses,
Avoid being stunned,
Increased Evasion.

On the Divine Life Flask we want the suffix, IMMUNITY TO BLEEDING.

Ascendancy Priority:

IF you're struggling defensively you can consider going Mistwalker first. Otherwise follow the priority below:

Unstable Infusion
This is a very powerful and obvious choice since we're building on Crit and Charges with our tree.
Mystical Infusion
With the recent buffs on Bifurcates, this is a no brainer which provides us a ton of damage.
Deathmarked / Mistwalker
Both options are amazing. But Mistwalker will help you smoothen out your defenses, so if you're struggling go for this first.
Going for Deathmarked will help you deal with bosses a lot easier.

───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Passive Tree Keystones:

Eldritch Battery is the number one priority of this build. This node needs to be takken before you even transition to the Bladefall build, as it will allow us to spam our Frenzy which will auto trigger our Bladefall and Blade Blast through Spellslinger.

Mind Over Matter is a really important and much needed node. This however can be takken a lot later on, when you already have over 3k Life and 1.2k ES.

Ghost Dance is a good defensive node but it's not mandatory. You can definitely take it early on as it's just 1 point.

───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Passive Tree Masteries:

As you will see with my tree above, we are mainly focusing on Mana Management and Defenses more than anything else with our Masteries.

───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

IMPORTANT:

If you are struggling to stay alive early on, you might wanna grab Clever Thief with Leech Mastery 5% of leech is instant.

If you are struggling with attributes early on, you might wanna grab Alacrity, Physique, Prowess or Thief's Craft.

If you want more life and you DON'T have a Life Modifier on your Body Armour, you could consider going for the ''15% Increased Life if there are no Life Mods on Body Armour'' Mastery.

───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Jewels:

You can look for Cobalt Jewel with Global Phys, Global Crit, Crit Multi for Spell Damage, Increased Max Energy Shield.

You can look for Crimson Jewel with Global Crit Strike, Increased Damage, Increased Max Life, Block Spell dmg with Shield.

This setup is a ONE-BUTTON Build with almost everything else being automated.

Main Damage:

The main Damage Dealers are Bladefall and Blade Blast ofcourse. However we never press or interact with them. They are each placed into a Spellslinger so that when you use an ability with your wand, Spellslinger will trigger them both.

The ability that we spam will be Frenzy and we're adding Barrage Support so we can fire more projectiles automatically. Frenzy will constantly provide you with charges that will buff you, increasing you damage further, while triggering both Bladefall and Blade Blast.

We can also have Herald of Ash, Summon Lightning Golem or any other Golem, to increase our CC and damage further.

Assassin's Mark is automatically applied to rares and bosses due to our Ascendancy node Deathmarked. If you want to use a 2nd Mark such as Poacher's Mark then you will need to specc into the node called Whispers of Doom.

───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Main Defense:

Steelskin and Flesh and Stone are very important for our survivability.
We use Automation linked with Steelskin so it can be triggered automatically.
Regarding Flesh and Stone you always want to be into the Stone Stance.

IF you have issues with your defense you could go for Grace instead of Herald of Ash

───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Main Mobility:

Ofcourse our main ability here is Shield Charge which is linked with Faster Attacks Support and Momentum Support. We also have Frostblink.

───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

6-LINK OPTIONS:

On your main Bladefall setup, you could add Cruelty Support as your 6th Link.

How it Plays

1-12 | Cobra Lash

Use Cobra Lash as your main damage ability on everything. Use Sniper's Mark on Bosses. Use Withering Step for defence. Use Shield Charge as your main mobility ability + Frostblink at the end of Shield Charge to cancel it and cover a larger distance.

13-28 | Pconc

Use Poisonous Concoction as your main damage ability on everything. Use Plague Bearer when full for a burst. Use Poacher's Mark on Bosses. Use Blood Rage as a dmging buff on bosses or clearing. Use Shield Charge as your main mobility ability + Frostblink at the end of Shield Charge to cancel it and cover a larger distance.

29+ | Bounce Pconc

Use Poisonous Concoction of Bouncing as your main damage ability on everything. Use Plague Bearer when full for a burst. Use Assassin's Mark on Bosses. Use Blood Rage as a dmging buff on bosses or clearing. Use Desecrate on Bosses to trigger General's Cry. Use Shield Charge as your main mobility ability + Frostblink at the end of Shield Charge to cancel it and cover a larger distance.

40+ | Bladefall + Blade Blast

Use Frenzy as your main damage ability on everything. Use Summon Lightning Golem if you have it at all times. Use Shield Charge as your main mobility ability + Frostblink at the end of Shield Charge to cancel it and cover a larger distance.

This is a ONE-BUTTON build. Everything else is fully automated.
