Build Overview

Leveling & Endgame Guide for Shadow Assassin for Poisonous Concoction / Poisonous Concoction of Bouncing into Bladefall + Blade Blast.

───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

You will find multiple leveling variants that will help you have a smoother leveling experience.
Starting with Cobra Lash for the first few levels, then transitioning into Poisonous Concoction. You can then either farm or buy your Poisonous Concoction of Bouncing through the Lab (Trials) OR simply transition to our Endgame Build earlier by switching to the Bladefall build.

In 3.29 Assassin has a lot of good and viable builds such as the Viper Strike of the Mamba, Bladefall, Icicle Mine of Fanning and many more.

Credit goes to the creator(s) of this idea. Here are some amazing build creators you can go check out -> Jungroan, Ky, Telvanni

Build Variants

⭐This is the FINAL Endgame Transition Build!⭐
(Only switch if you have some Divines to invest and you're 85+)

Disclaimer: The transition to this build is a bit complex and may require some investment as it requires a few combinations of different items to make it work. Everything will be explained below.

───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Overview:

The protagonists of this build remain the same. Bladefall and Blade Blast. However, now we are moving away from Spellslinger and into Rain of Arrows of Saturation with the combination of Cast On Critical Strike Support. Therefore Crit is our main priority for damage.

We are moving away from Prophecy Wand and into FoulbornDeath's Harp which will provide us with a ton of Global Crit Multi AND most importantly ''Physical Damage as Extra Chaos Damage''

Most Important Damage Mods/Stats:

Global Critical Strike Chance | Global Critical Strike Multiplier | Attack Speed

Most Important Defense Mods/Stats:

Resistances | Max Life | Suppress Spell Damage | EV/ES

───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Know your Build!

This build has a TON of damage and it's super fun to play. It can clear all content and can face-tank pretty much anything once you get it online. HOWEVER, it needs a lot of focus and investment on the most important Mods/Stats shown above.

To play this right, you need to know the basics and the most important things about this build.

───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Important Principles to Follow:

  • A decent start would be 3k Life and 1.2k ES
  • Cap ALL resistances
  • Have over 8k Evasion + Grace
  • Your Accuracy needs to be over 80%
  • Your Critical Strike Chance needs to be over 90% in combat
  • Spell Suppression Chance should be over 80%
  • Avoid Shock, Chill, Ignite with Jewel + Ichor Combo

This build can be frustratingly squishy if you dont set it right. Following the above principles, will create an extremely well rounded build.

Murder Boots
Divine Life Flask
Stibnite Flask
Jade Flask

Quicksilver Flask
Blight Shine

Behemoth Essence
Chimeric Splinter
Dusk Spark

Weapons:

Bow: We're going for the FOULBORN version of Death's Harp. You are looking to find the Gain Phys as Extra Chaos Damage mod.

Quiver: Our preferred mods here are things like Crit Strike Multi with Bows | Increased Damage with Bow Sills | Attack Speed | Max Life & Resistances

───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Gear:

For the Body Armour, Boots, Gloves and Helmet, we want to look for EV/ES Hybrid Bases and stack as much Max Life + Resistances as possible. Another good mod would be Spell Suppression too.

On the Belt, you wanna do the same.

───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Rings:

You want to look for Amethyst Ring for the free Chaos Res or Diamond Ring for the free Global Crit.

Good mods you can go for are things like, Max Life, Attributes, Resistances, Energy Shield.

───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Amulet:

You want to look for +Phys Spell Skills, Max Life, Elemental Resistances, Global Crit, Max / Increased Energy Shield.

Some good Instilling options are True Strike if you're lacking crit or Force of Darkness to penetrate Chaos Res or Overcharge.

───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Flasks:

We use 4 Utility based Flasks & 1 Life Flask. We craft the ''Used when Charges reach full'' mod from the Crafting Bench on all 4 Utility based Flasks so we can automate them.

Utility Flask 1 -> Quicksilver Flask
Utility Flask 2 -> Diamond Flask
Utility Flask 3 -> Jade Flask
Utility Flask 4 -> Stibnite Flask

There are a few important SUFFIXES that you might consider adding on your Flasks.
Increased Movement Speed,
Critical Strike chance,
Reduced Effect of Curses,
Avoid being stunned,
Increased Evasion.

On the Divine Life Flask we want the suffix, IMMUNITY TO BLEEDING.

Ascendancy Priority:

IF you're struggling defensively you can consider going Mistwalker first. Otherwise follow the priority below:

Unstable Infusion
This is a very powerful and obvious choice since we're building on Crit and Charges with our tree.
Mystical Infusion
With the recent buffs on Bifurcates, this is a no brainer which provides us a ton of damage.
Deathmarked / Mistwalker
Both options are amazing. But Mistwalker will help you smoothen out your defenses, so if you're struggling go for this first.
Going for Deathmarked will help you deal with bosses a lot easier.

───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Passive Tree:

Our tree focuses on a very well-rounded and balanced synergy between Life, Leeching, Crit, Increased Damage, Mana sustainability, Extra Defense and much more through the normal Nodes and Masteries.

However, there are a few important nodes and choices you need to know about.

Physique can be dropped if you dont need the extra Strength.

Whispers of Doom is takken because we auto apply Assassin's Mark through our ascendancy node called Deathmarked AND we also use Despair on bosses. Feel free to take this last.

Inveterate and the Spell Suppression Mastery on it is takken to boost our defense even more. IF you have a lot of Spell Suppression on your Gear, you can choose to refund this cluster.

However, one of the most important areas is the North side with the Large Cluster Jewel(s)

You can find the full stats of all Jewels at the GEAR SECTION above however you want to aim to get:
Grim Oath + Wicked Pall + Unwaveringly Evil on the first Large Cluster Jewel
Basics of Pain + Pressure Points on the other two.

If you are struggling with attributes early on, you might wanna grab Alacrity, Physique, Prowess or Thief's Craft.

Due to using Death's Harp we can have a 2nd 6-Link. We will use 1 for Bladefall and 1 for Blade Blast.

DAMAGE ABILITIES:

The main Damage Dealers are Bladefall and Blade Blast ofcourse. However we never press or interact with them. They are each paired with Cast On Critical Strike Support so that when you use Rain of Arrows of Saturation it triggers them both.

Precision is needed to give us more Accuracy and Crit.

Assassin's Mark is placed on the enemies automatically through Deathmarked.
We can use Despair on bosses ONLY if we go for Whispers of Doom.

BLADEFALL ALTERNATIVES:

Concentrated Effect Support is really good but if you want you can go for Arcane Surge Support.

Greater Spell Cascade Support is really good but you can use Spell Cascade Support

BLADE BLAST ALTERNATIVES:

Lifetap Support will help fix the mana issue but you can also go for Void Manipulation Support

───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

DEFENSIVE ABILITIES:

Immortal Call is paired with Automation to be triggered automatically and reduce the damage we take.

With Flesh and Stone we ALWAYS use the Sand Stance (Stone) to reduce the damage we take.

Grace and Vaal Grace are takken to automatically increase our Evasion and have an ability to press if we get in danger.

How it Plays

1-12 | Cobra Lash

Use Cobra Lash as your main damage ability on everything. Use Sniper's Mark on Bosses. Use Withering Step for defence. Use Shield Charge as your main mobility ability + Frostblink at the end of Shield Charge to cancel it and cover a larger distance.

13-28 | Pconc

Use Poisonous Concoction as your main damage ability on everything. Use Plague Bearer when full for a burst. Use Poacher's Mark on Bosses. Use Blood Rage as a dmging buff on bosses or clearing. Use Shield Charge as your main mobility ability + Frostblink at the end of Shield Charge to cancel it and cover a larger distance.

29+ | Bounce Pconc

Use Poisonous Concoction of Bouncing as your main damage ability on everything. Use Plague Bearer when full for a burst. Use Assassin's Mark on Bosses. Use Blood Rage as a dmging buff on bosses or clearing. Use Desecrate on Bosses to trigger General's Cry. Use Shield Charge as your main mobility ability + Frostblink at the end of Shield Charge to cancel it and cover a larger distance.

Bladefall + Blade Blast (Frenzy + Spellslinger)

Use Frenzy as your main damage ability on everything. Use Summon Lightning Golem if you have it at all times. Use Shield Charge as your main mobility ability + Frostblink at the end of Shield Charge to cancel it and cover a larger distance.

This is a ONE-BUTTON build. Everything else is fully automated.

Bladefall + Blade Blast (Rain + COC)

Use Rain of Arrows of Saturation as your main damage ability on everything. Use Despair on bosses, IF you went for Whispers of Doom. Use Vaal Grace when you are in trouble. Use Flame Dash for mobility.
