50% Movement Speed Boot Craft - PoE 2

Overview

Today's guide will take you through a 100% deterministic craft of 100% increased Effect of Socketed Item Boots with High Evasion, Movement Speed and a Desecrated Modifier. These are often referred to as 50% Movement Speed Boots, because when combined with Farrul's Rune of the Chase, which grants 5% increased Movement Speed, using two in these Boots grants an additional 20% on top of the existing 30%.

Guide

What You'll Need

  • Normal Rarity Exceptional Dragonscale Boots with 2 Sockets
  • Several Orbs of Annulment
  • Several Greater Orbs of Transmutation
  • Several Greater Orbs of Augmentation
  • Perfect Exalted Orb
  • Ancient Rib
  • Omen of Abyssal Echoes
  • Omen of Homogenising Exaltation
  • Omen of Dextral Crystalisation
  • Omen of Greater Exaltation
  • Essence of Horror
  • Greater Essence of Enhancement

Step 1: Getting the Movement Speed

The first step is potentially the most annoying, but after this it's smooth sailing.

In this first step, we are looking to hit 30% increased Movement Speed (Prefix) and any Suffix

  1. Use your Greater Orb of Transmutation and Augmentation on the Boots. If you don't hit 30% increased Movement Speed, use an Orb of Annulment on the Boots in an attempt to Annul off the Prefix. If you Annul off the Suffix, use another Orb of Annulment.
  2. Use another Greater Orb of Augmentation - if you hit a Prefix that isn't Movement Speed, use an Orb of Annulment. If you hit a Suffix, use another Greater Orb of Augmentation

Repeat this until you have boots with 30% increased Movement Speed and any Suffix

Step 2: Getting % increased Evasion Rating

Simply apply a Greater Essence of Enhancement to your Magic Boots to guarantee 68-79% increased Evasion Rating

Step 3: Essence of Horror Mod

The next step, we'll be getting the 100% increased effect of Socketed Items modifier from Essence of Horror

  1. Activate an Omen of Dextral Crystalisation (right click it in your inventory). This will guarantee that the Essence of Horror removes the Suffix when it applies it
  2. Use an Essence of Horror on the Boots

Step 4: Getting Deflection and Flat Evasion Rating

The next step is simple but fairly expensive as we'll be using an Omen of Homogenising Exaltation and a Perfect Exalted Orb. However, this 100% guarantees we hit Tier 1 Flat Evasion Rating and Tier 1 Deflection Rating

  1. Activate the Omen of Homogenising Exaltation by right clicking it in your inventory
  2. Activate the Omen of Greater Exaltation (DON'T FORGET THIS ONE!) - this will mean that the next Exalted Orb you apply will add two modifiers
  3. Apply a Perfect Exalted Orb to your item

How Does This Work?

The Omen of Homogenising Exaltation means that the Exalted Orb can only add modifiers that share tags with existing modifiers on the item. The current tags on the item are:

  • Speed - Movement Speed
  • Defence - #% increased Evasion Rating
  • Horror Mod - None

There are no other modifiers on Boots other than Movement Speed with the Speed tag - this means the Homogonising Omen can't hit this tag

The only other tag we have on the Boots is the Defence Tag from the % increased Evasion Rating - this means that the only modifiers the Exalt can add have must be ones that have the Defence Tag. The only two modifiers that are left in the pool with the Defence tag are Deflection Rating and Flat Evasion Rating. Because our item currently has two Prefixes and one Suffix, this means there is only space for one Prefix (flat Evasion Rating), and the other added modifier has to be a Suffix, and the only Defence-tagged Suffix is Deflection Rating.

By using a Perfect Exalted Orb, we are also guaranteed modifiers with a minimum level of 50. Luckily, Tier 1 Deflection and flat Evasion Rating are the only Tiers of these mods that spawn above item level 50, meaning they are guaranteed.

This is why this works every single time.

Step 5: Desecrated Modifier

Next, we need to add in our final modifier and can do this with a Desecrated Modifier. You can use a Preserved Rib which will give you a choice of three modifiers of a random tier, or an Ancient Rib which will give you a choice of three modifiers with a minimum modifier level of 40. I recommend going for the Ancient Rib as it is worth the price.

I also recommend using an Omen of Abyssal Echoes as this allows you to Reroll the Reveals you are offered at least once in case you are unhappy with the first set of options.

Take your Boots to the Well of Souls, right click your Omen of Abyssal Echoes, and hit the Reveal button

Select whichever modifier you like, and reroll if you aren't happy with the first set of options.

If you are still extremely unhappy with the options you are presented with, you can select any modifier, then use an Omen of Light to guarantee that the next Orb of Annulment you apply removes the Desecrated modifier. Do note that these are quite expensive, but at least there is a safe way to remove this modifier if you have to.

Step 6: Finishing the Craft

All that's left is for you to apply Quality with Armourer's Scraps, fill in your Sockets, and you're done!
