Build Overview

Fireball clears screen

Flameblast kills bosses

We stack as much life as possible both for defense (lol) and Bloodmage's Gore Spike

We then get as much crit chance as possible - reaching 100% is absolutely possible BUT requires significant investment (25div+) in the build.

DO NOT PLAY THIS BUILD IF YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO SPEND AT LEAST 15 DIVINES TO GET STARTED!

Honestly, you should really only play this build if you want to do something off-meta. Run an attribute stacker or Archmage build for MUCH better "bang for your buck" lmao

use the filter on trade site for "Gem Sockets" under the "Misc" tab

Mahuxotl's Machination = at least "550% inc effect of soul cores"

start with two Seed of Cataclysm and drop one for a rare ring once you get Atziri's Acuity (look for a pair with 40%+ crit chance)

**VERY IMPORTANT**

do NOT level up Flammability past level 7 or so - the mana cost gets absolutely ABSURD (especially once you get some global +lvls)

mapping = mostly one-button gameplay
Fireball with the occasional Flame Wall

bossing = Flammability > Ball Lightning > Solar Orb
then spam Flameblast

ensure that you always cast Flameblast with Solar Orb (30% MORE cast speed) and charge Flameblast to 10 stacks.

also, do NOT stop casting Flameblast after the first ignite - you need to "fish" for the largest ignite possible (which is based on the damage range of the skill!)

obviously, recast Flammability and Solar Orb once they expire, however, Ball Lightning only needs to be cast until it lands a shock due to Stormfire support.

you have great recovery both while mapping and bossing thanks to Vitality Siphon and it becomes even better once you get Atziri's Acuity

Raging Spirits is for automatic and instantaneous Fire Exposure via Infernal Legion. Sadly, the exposure effect is NOT increased from your passive tree (nodes like Cremation) due to it applying from minions and not yourself.

--JEWELS--

Jewels are INCREDIBLY important for your overall damage.

Snag one Prism of Belief unique jewel with "+3 Levels to all Flameblast skills" (should be ~2div), then fill the rest with rare jewels.

Primary stats to look for:

Prefix--
%inc magnitude of ignite (prefix; min 10%)
%inc magnitude of ailments (prefix; min 10%)
%inc magnitude of ailments w/ crits (prefix; min 12%)

Suffix--
%crit chance (suffix; min 10%)
%crit chance for spells (suffix; min 10%)
damaging ailments deal dmg faster (suffix; min 5%)

try to use jewels with only the above stats but other nice stats include:
%cast speed
%elemental dmg
%spell dmg

be prepared to spend anywhere from 10-15ex up to 1-2div per jewel. it's worth it.

How it Works

we stack life for defense AND damage via Gore Spike and essentially get double crit chance thanks to Sunder the Flesh (most spells have 7 or 8% base crit)

this makes it so that Fireball can wipe our screen for 99% of cases.

then, due to damage-over-time (DoT) using the FINAL hit's value to determine damage (aka, our crits scale it), we opt to scale our single target damage with big boy ignites via Flameblast.

ignites also open up another multiplier to our damage in the form of "%inc magnitude of ignites / ailments", which is how we can get 1m+ dps (given enough crit multi and ailment magnitude.)

we further boost single target from lowering enemy resistances viaFire Exposure (from Raging Spirits + Infernal Legion) + Flammability and shocking them via Ball Lightning
