**UPDATE IN PROGRESS FOR 0.5**

Hello all Blood Mage enjoyers!

This Blood Mage Build Guide uses progressing variants during a league to go from Starter to Multiple fun Endgame Builds. This guide was created in 0.1 Early Access and has been updated every league to date. Join us on Twitch to watch build variants showcased throughout a league!

***New Variants added consistently during a league.***

***Change Logs will be added on each Individual Variant with dates AFTER 0.5 Launch***

Strengths and Weaknesses

  • Easy Playstyle
  • Flexible Variants
  • HIGH Damage Potential
  • GREAT at ALL Content
  • Weakness....? Never heard of it.

Build Variants

Use this variant to progress through the new Endgame Atlas Progression and start farming for High End Variants that will follow.

**This variant is currently a PRE-LAUNCH build. Changes can and will most likely be made after league launch once we find out more info relating to New Uniques, New Lineage Supports, New Runic Skill Gems, New Crafting, New Idols, etc.**

  • This variant is used to start progressing through the new endgame quest system on the endless Atlas. Your goal will be to have Spark at 100% Crit Chance which is easily accomplished with Pinpoint Critical.
  • IMPORTANT - High End Variants will require 100% Crit Chance on all spells WITHOUT Pinpoint Critical so your goal should be to continue grabbing Critical Hit Chance on Weapon, Runes, Helmet, Amulet, Jewels and the remaining skill tree.
  • Every player may have different amounts of Critical Hit Chance on equipment so you will need to adjust your skill tree to either ADD or REMOVE nodes as needed to maintain 100%. Over capping critical hit chance has no benefit.

**ITEM TRADE LINKS ARE GENERATED BY MOBALYTICS TO FIND EXACT MATCHES AND SHOULD NOT BE USED. SEARCHING FOR ITEMS YOURSELF IS ADVISED.**

Nightscale provide amazing mana regen, crit chance, resistances and stats for early map pushing.

  • Equipment - Make sure to try and get your Fire/Cold/Lightning Resistances to 75% (Capped) and as much Chaos Resistance as you can fit. High Life with Mana on all items is the next priority. You only need enough INT/DEX for gem or equipment requirements and everything else will be STR for more life. (Socket any runes needed for resistances)

  • ***SPIRIT INFORMATION - Use a Runeforged Flowing Raiment base type to get Implicit Runic Ward Regen and Decent Amoutn of Energy Shield to convert to Runic Ward through Runeforging. Modified spirit on Prefix is need to make it easy for enough spirit gems.***

  • Weapons - Critical Hit Chance with Spells on your Staff is highly recommended so you can have more skill points to use on your atlas tree for damage. Critical Hit Chance on Helmet/Amulet will also help alleviate your skill tree of too many Critical Strike nodes.
  • Rings - You can get more damage with Cast Speed or Increased Lightning Damage on rings. Follow the same rules as equipment otherwise.

WEAPON SET 1 - Spark Orb of Storms

WEAPON SET 2 - Frost Bomb Elemental Weakness Sigil of Power

Life Remnants comes from your first ascendency Sanguimancy which is a mandatory point for all Blood Mages.

Sigil of Power comes from Chiming Staff in our second weapon slot. Chiming Staff will be available during Act 2.

Powered by Verisium comes from the Runes of Aldur league mechanic found in each zone. You will need to wait until the game offers you the Skill Gem as a reward. Make sure to do the Runes of Aldur league mechanic in EVERY zone to increase your chances of getting the skill gem.

**Skill Gem Priority for Supports**

  1. Spark - %Quality with Gemcutters - First
  2. Frost Bomb - %Quality with Gemcutters - Second
  3. Orb of Storms
  4. Elemental Weakness - %Quality with Gemcutters - Third
  5. Sigil of Power
  6. Arctic Armour
  7. Life Remnants
  8. Mana Remnants

  • Spark and Orb of Storms will be your primary way to clear packs of enemies.

  • Frost Bomb applies exposure and will be used on Rare enemies to quickly reduce their resistances into negative values. Weapon Set 2 will be amplifying our exposure effect. Frost Bomb also provides Cold Infusions which provides Spark with cold damage. You can precast Frost Bomb at bosses to stack infusions before a fight begins if desired.

  • Elemental Weakness and Sigil of Power are both Area ground spells that will be used primarily for bossing. Elemental Weakness will reduce the targets elemental resistances and combines with exposure from Frost Bomb which will make the target have negative resistances. This is a fantastic boost to single target damage. You will need to stand inside the Sigil of Power and cast spells to receive the bonus spell damage it provides.

Passive Tree

This skill tree will get your Critical Strike Chance and Multi very high. This is a fantastic start to get grinding for any High End Variants that require a larger budget.

Critical Hit Chance With Spells/Critical Hit Chance on your Staff, Amulet, and Helmet will help remove the burden of having so many Critical Hit Chance points on the skill tree so you can focus on more damage, utility or defense.

-Important Jewel Information-

You will want Critical Hit Chance and/or Critical Hit Chance for Spells on jewels.

Damage modifier options for jewels include but not limited to:

Critical Damage Bonus , Critical Spell Damage Bonus , Spell Damage , Elemental Damage, Cast Speed, Shock Magnitude and Ailment Magnitude.

Mix your Crit Hit Chance modifiers with your damage modifiers until you find good deals or the perfect jewels.
