In Palworld, managing your production is a key part of the experience, but it can easily fall apart if you don't have the right guidelines in place.
Pals aren't always reliable from the start, but when set up intentionally, they can become much more effective workers. Let's dive in and compare the different methods of direction.
This guide was written with the help ofItalianSpartacus. Be sure to check our their channel out for more Palworld content.
Assigning Specific Tasks
Manual Target Throwing
If you happen to notice a Pal isn't working on the ideal task, you can manually pick it up and throw it where it belongs. When multiple work stations are close together, you can use the aiming feature to target the specific facility.
Assignment Board
The same thing can be done remotely by accessing the Assignment Board from the Monitoring Stand(level 7) using the "Set Work Mode".
Here you will see a list of your base's Pals and facilities, allowing you to freely designate who goes where. This also displays pending tasks (see the Salad and Ingot next to the facilities).
Important Note
Pals that are assigned to a specific task will lock-in on the single facility, even when there is nothing to do at the time. So in many cases, this will leave the Pal in an idle state.
It's good for long-term tasks such as maintaining a Cooler Box, or temporary tasks, when you are available to reassign them after completion. Otherwise, we recommend leaving them on auto.
Work Preferences Toggle
The second option within the Monitoring Stand is to "Set Work Preferences". Here you'll have access to a toggle, giving you control over what Work Suitabilities get used by each Pal.
This is a great way to help ensure your Pals don't waste time on less useful tasks. Oftentimes the biggest offender is Transporting, as items will constantly drop and become distractions.
Unfortunately, there isn't a way to rank the priority between active Suitabilities, so you will have to simply choose whether you want them or not.
Party Pals
If you're looking to do some quick manual labor, remember that you can summon your party Pals for extra support (assuming they have the appropriate Work Suitabilities).
