Introduction
Party/Combat Pals
These Pals provide either a boost to you, or other Pals, and assist in combat.
Daedream (Dark)
- Partner Skill: Dream Chaser - While in party, appears near the Player. Attacks hostile enemies with Dark magic bullets. These bullets will NOT reduce the target's Health below 1.
- Spawns at Night
- Lvl 1 Handiwork, Lvl 1 Gathering, Lvl 1 Transporting
Location:

Daedream is a great addition to any party early on, as once you craft it's necklace, it will follow you around without having to summon it, allowing for additional Pals to assist in combat. This does stack as well so you can have a crew of Daedream running around with you.
Hoocrates (Dark)
- Partner Skill: Dark Knowledge - While in a team, increases the power attack of Dark Pals
- Spawns at Night
- Lvl 1 Gathering
Location:

Hoocrates is on this list purely for the ability to buff
Daedream. If you do choose to have a crew of
Daedream, having one
Hoocrates in the party will then buff all of your
Daedream, so this is a good choice to have one in the party if you choose this route.
Foxparks (Fire)
- Partner Skill: Huggy Fire - When activated, equips the player and transforms into a flamethrower. (3x Leather, 5x Flame Organ, 5x Paldium Fragment)
- Lvl 1 Kindling
Location:

Foxparks is a great addition to any team early on because of it's Partner Skill. The flamethrower it turns into deals great damage and is very nice for tankier enemies like some of the early bosses, and can melt through Pals/Enemies.
Cattiva (Neutral)
- Partner Skill: Cat Helper - While in a team, Cattiva helps carry supplies, increasing the player's max carrying capacity by 100. (Does not stack)
- Lvl 1 Handiwork, Lvl 1 Gathering, Lvl 1 Mining, Lvl 1 Transporting
Location:

Cattiva is a very nice QOL Pal to add to your party, purely to boost your carrying capacity, which will typically be quite low early on, so adding a
Cattiva to your party will help with that by at least the amount equal to 1 skill point into Carry Capacity.
Rushroar (Ground)
- Partner Skill: Hard Head - Can be ridden. Increases efficiency of destroying stone by 500%. (3x Leather, 10x Stone, 5x Paldium Fragment)
- Lvl 1 Mining
Location:

Rushoar can be great in both your base, and in your party, specifically for Mining. But one interesting thing with
Rushoar, is that it's Partner Skill works on just about any boulder in the game, and if you have some grouped up, you can even hit multiple in one charge. This makes mining so much more efficient early until you can start a mining base up.
Chillet (Ice/Dragon)
- Partner Skill: Wriggling Weasel - Can be ridden. Applies Dragon damage to the player's attacks while mounted. (10x Leather, 20x Fiber, 5x Cloth, 20x Paldium Fragment)
- Alpha Pal (Level 11) - Windswept Hills
- Lvl 1 Gathering, Lvl 1 Cooling
Location:

Chillet is one of the early game Alpha Pals, spawning really close to the beginning spawn spot at Level 11. Taking this one down and capturing it for your team will be a great idea, as it has a handful of strong attacks and giving you early access to a Dragon typing, plus it has solid attack stats.
Eikthyrdeer (Neutral)
- Partner Skill: Guardian of the Forest - Can be ridden. Can perform a double jump while mounted. Increases efficiency of cutting trees by 220%. (5x Leather, 20x Fiber, 10x Ingot, 3x Horn, 15x Paldium Fragment)
- Lvl 2 Lumbering
Location:

Eikthyrdeer is one of the go to Pals early for a mount. It's fast, and has access to double jump, which is crucial for early game traversal. It's on the more expensive side for it's saddle, and is a bit later, but it is 100% worth getting a few, one for your base, and one for your mount.
Incineram (Fire/Dark)
- Partner Skill: Flameclaw Hunter - When activated, attacks targeted enemy with a powerful Hellfire Claw
- Lvl 3 Kindling, Lvl 2 Handiwork, Lvl 3 Mining, Lvl 2 Transporting
- Can ONLY be found in 1 location (Red Circle on Map) early on at Level 10, from a Syndicate Thug who summons it
Location:

Incineram is a sneaky one who can only be found in one location, but is 100% worth snagging. This Pal is an early game powerhouse who boasts high attacking stats with a great Partner Skill. Being a dual typing with high damage this early makes for an incredible Pal to have fighting alongside you, with one of its typings being Fire, the only element in the game effective on 2 typings (Grass and Ice).
Base Pals
These Pals are great additions to your base, boasting good levels in certain roles, or being beneficial with a Partner Skill.
Vixy (Neutral)
- Partner Skill: Dig Here! - Sometimes Digs up items from the ground when assigned to a Ranch. (Palspheres, Arrows, Money)
- Lvl 1 Gathering, Lvl 1 Farming
Location:

Vixy is a staple to all of the early game bases, it grants the ability to dig up Pal Spheres, Money, and Arrows, all of which are a resource you want an abundance of early on. You should always have at least 1 in your base until you can comfortably craft up these resources quickly.
Pengullet (Water/Ice)
- Partner Skill: Pengullet Cannon - When activated, the player equips a rocket launcher, and fires Pengullet as ammunition. Pengullet explodes on contact and is incapacitated. (20x Ingot, 20x Stone, 30x Wood, 20x Paldium Fragment)
- Lvl 1 Watering, Lvl 1 Handiwork, Lvl 1 Cooling, Lvl 1 Transporting
Location:

Pengullet is one of the better early game Pals for your base, with access to quite a few beneficial skills early like Watering, Handiwork and Transporting. Typically one of the first Pals you will find on your journey and will assist in multiple things around your base until you get better Pals for specific skillsets.
Foxparks (Fire)
- Partner Skill: Huggy Fire - When activated, equips the player and transforms into a flamethrower. (3x Leather, 5x Flame Organ, 5x Paldium Fragment)
- Lvl 1 Kindling
Location:

Foxparks is listed here as well because of it's Kindling stat. It's one of the best early game Kindling Pals as it only has Kindling, so it will always be working on your cooking or smelting without being distracted by anything else.
Gumoss (Grass/Ground)
- Partner Skill: Logging Assistance - While in a team, improves the efficiency of cutting trees.
- Lvl 1 Planting
Location:

Gumoss is another one you'll love to have in your base, specifically for it only having Planting, and you should always capture/use this early to ensure your Pals are fed through a Berry Plantation. Pair this with
Pengullet and you will have an infinite source of Berries for your pals to stay fed early.
Eikthyrdeer (Neutral)
- Partner Skill: Guardian of the Forest - Can be ridden. Can perform a double jump while mounted. Increases efficiency of cutting trees. (5x Leather, 20x Fiber, 10x Ingot, 3x Horn, 15x Paldium Fragment)
- Lvl 2 Lumbering
Location:

Eikthyrdeer is one of the best early game Pals. Can be used as one of the better mounts early, and has access to Lvl 2 Lumbering super early. This is incredible for bases to keep your wood stocked up infinitely, and you see
Eikthyrdeer shine in your base once you get the Logging Site. It is one of the stronger and more difficult Pals to capture super early, but once you're around Level 10, it becomes easier.
Tombat (Dark)
- Partner Skill: Ultrasonic Sensor - When activated, uses ultrasonic waves to detect the location of nearby dungeons, treasure chests, and scrap.
- Spawns at Night
- Lvl 2 Gathering, Lvl 3 Mining, Lvl 2 Transporting
Location:

Tombat is another Pal that is one of the best early on, and even into the later stages of the game, especially after getting it's mining stat buffed to Level 3 in 1.0. Early access to Level 3 Mining, Gathering, and Transporting makes
Tombat versatile, and incredible for any base, especially when you set up a Mining base when you unlock a 2nd base. Always catch a few of these to have a good mining operation set up at an alternate base, paired with a
Gumoss and
Pengullet, and you can leave them there to farm up all the Ore you could need.
Penking (Water/Ice)
- Partner Skill: Brave Sailor - While fighting together, Fire Pals drop 40% more items when defeated.
- Alpha Pal (Level 15) - Sealed Realm of the Frozen Wings
- Lvl 2 Watering, Lvl 2 Handiwork, Lvl 3 Mining, Lvl 2 Cooling, Lvl 3 Transporting
Location:

Penking is one of the later early-game Pals you will be able to get, spawning in it's Dungeon at Level 15, paired with 3
Pengullet. Bring in an electric type to help deal with this. It is a tougher fight but 100% worth getting, with it having Lvl 2 skills in so many beneficial categories. Lvl 2 Watering is fantastic for your Berry farms, and is also great for efficiency on your Crushers and Mills. Lvl 2 Handiwork and Lvl 3 Transporting are also great QOL skillsets early on, and the Mining is a bonus, although I'd still recommend
Tombat over
Penking for Mining early.

With the release of 1.0, it had all of it's skills buffed significantly, and is now an absolutely amazing base Pal to have. The spot
Incineram can be found at, is also farmable, once per in game day.
Wispaw (Dark)
- Partner Skill: Death-Cheating Feline - While in party, increases the capture rate when awarded a back bonus. (Does not stack)
- Lvl 2 Handiwork, Lvl 1 Lumbering, Lvl 1 Medicine, Lvl 1 Transporting
- Caught at Night
Location:

Wispaw is one of the new Pals introduced in 1.0, and is instantly one you should be getting early on for its Level 2 Handiwork skillset. Having Lvl 2 Handiwork this early in the game is a great one to add to your base to for some great QOL upgrades.
Pupperai (Ground)
- Partner Skill: Best Boy - While in party, increases the player's melee weapon damage by 10%. (Does not stack)
- Lvl 1 Lumbering, Lvl 1 Gathering, Lvl 1 Transporting
Location:

Pupperai is brand new in 1.0, and immediately available after you spawn in and walk down the mountain a little bit, and boasts 3 solid skillsets with Lumbering, Gathering and Transporting in one. With how early it's available and the key skillsets it brings in, definitely add one to your base early on until you can replace it with a better Pal.
