Monster Hunter WildsSeregios Guide - Weaknesses, Location, Armor & More

Video Guide

Overview

Seregios is a returning Flying Wyvern released in Free Title Update 2 on June 30th 2025, along with Lagiacrus.

title update 2 major additions

This monster uses a plethora of swift skydiving moves and can cause the new Bleed status effect.

Seregios is unlocked at HR31+ by speaking with Neby at Kunafa village.

Location

Seregios can be found in the plateau and plains areas of the Windward Plains and in the Ruins of Wyveria.

How to Prepare

Seregios deals exclusively physical damage, so increasing your raw defense by upgrading the armor will help during the fight. Defensive skills like Divine Blessing will prove invaluable, too, with how often Seregios attacks. Remember to eat a meal and take defensive skills that increase healing and defense.

The monster can also inflict the Bleed status, which makes the player take damage whenever they roll or move. Consume Ration to heal immediately, or otherwise crouch and wait for some seconds.

Flash Pod is a great item, too, because you can knock Seregios down from the air.

Mechanics to Look Out For

Seregios is an incredibly swift monster that attacks from unexpected angles. Hunters should learn its move set to learn how to avoid the aerial onslaughts and annoying Bleed procs.

General Strategy

Seregios' fight can be frustrating due to how much time it spends in the air. Players will have a difficult time capitalizing on its short openings in between attacks, so it's best to avoid its attack combos and then retaliate afterward. If you get hit during combos, you'll most likely not be able to capitalize on longer openings. Adopt a hit-and-run style when Seregios is on the air, and unleash your powerful attacks when he's down.

Bleed

Seregios' talons and flying scale attacks inflict Bleed onto the player. which will cause the Hunter to take damage whenever they roll or perform movement actions. Consume a Ration to heal immediately, or crouch and wait until it goes away.

Bleed is an annoying ailment because it chips away at your health over time, making it difficult to keep track of how much HP you've got, and surprising players with K.O.s that they wouldn't normally expect. It's best to take out the status immediately instead of letting it chip through your HP bar, as you'll need to heal from it and then heal your HP too.

Tackle

Seregios can perform weak tackles forward. This move isn't particularly strong, but other, more powerful moves often follow it, so don't get too confident. It also throws bladescales forward that cause Bleed, so dodge to the sides to avoid damage.

Tail Swipes

Seregios will move its tail up in the air and do two quick, back-to-back swipes. Dodge beneath it or away to avoid the attack.

It can also face away from players to throw multiple Bladescales at once, so don't get confident even if you're at a distance.

Talon Stomp

Seregios will flap its wings in place and quickly slash and stomp at players underneath it with its talons, causing bleed and some quick, chip damage. Dodge away from it to avoid the damage. When enraged, it can chain this move twice, so learn the timing and dodge away in the last moment before he does it.

Repositioning

Seregios can quickly hop on the ground or catch flight in a certain direction to prepare an angled attack, often leaving camera sight. Keep track of Seregios, as its attacks are often dodged in a precise direction depending on where they're coming from and Seregios' own positioning.

Aerial Moves

Seregios has multiple aerial onslaughts and dive variations, each requiring a different strategy to dodge. Since the monster can chain multiple attacks too in a row, it's best to learn the different patterns and dodging techniques required for safely maneuvering around it.

Quick Side Dive

When Seregios goes up sideways in the air, standing horizontally (his head is to the side) with its talons retreated, it'll quickly crash down at a hunter. This can be dodged in any direction, but to its side is safest.

Seregios will often chain this move twice when enraged, the second one coming from a different angle.

Quick Front Dive

Seregios will fly up in the air without getting away from the player, only to then lunge at them. This attack comes off pretty quick, but can be avoided by dodging in any direction.

Front Slide

Seregios will fly at a low height, claws-first at the player, and come off sliding on the ground. This attack is very similar to the Front Dive, but must be dodged sideways. When enraged, Seregios can chain this move twice in quick succession.

Side Sweep

When Seregios goes up in the air, standing vertically (with its head up), it'll quickly perform a side sweep with its talons. Dodge away from him to avoid the dive.

When Seregios is enraged, it can chain two side sweeps back to back.

This attack can create a temporary wound on Seregios' left leg afterward, so be ready to retaliate with a Focus Strike.

Large Aerial Sweep

Seregios will fly up in the air and prepare a sweep that will cover a large area and must be dodged either forward or backward. It can be difficult to see coming due to the angle of the attack, but you'll have enough time to get away in the majority of cases.

Ultimate Dive Attack

When Seregios roars in the air and flies making circles, it's signaling that it is about to perform a powerful, precise dive attack on a player. This attack must be dodged sideways or back from it, but players need to cover a significant distance, as it's very difficult to roll through.

This attack creates a temporary wound on Seregios' legs afterward.

Dodging Seregios' Aerial Dives

We have put up a quick spreadsheet to help players better understand how to dodge Seregios' multiple attack variations.

Aerial Attack

Seregios' Positioning

How to dodge

Side Sweep

Vertical - Head up

Dodge away

Side Dive

Horizontal - Head sideways

Dodge to the sides

Front Slide

Claws first, facing the player

Dodge to the sides

Large Sweep

High up in the air, preparing sweep

Dodge backward or forward

Ultimate Dive

High up in the air circling around

Dodge twice to the sides or away

Weak Spots to Focus

Seregios' Horn is its usual weak spot, but its legs become a heightened weak spot when he's enraged. Most of Seregios' body is susceptible to damage except for its wingarms, so don't hesitate to attack any body part, keeping in mind that legs and head are the focus.

Seregios' Horn, wings (x2), and legs (x2) are breakable, and its tail can be severed.

Turf Wars

Seregios has a unique Turf War with Rey Dau. If you see him on the map, luring him to Seregios by using a Luring Pod is a good idea, as its thunder attacks will greatly harm Seregios.
