Stats Explained

In Marathon, each Runner has stats that affect how you play. These can vary based on factors such as your selected Runner Shell, along with environmental factors, status effects, and interactions from abilities.

For each stat, we've explained what it does and ranked each Runner Shell from best to worst to highlight how they relate to their strengths and weaknesses.

Heat Capacity

In Marathon, your heat is essentially an equivalent resource to "stamina" from other games. Heat Capacity represents the number of actions, such as sliding or sprinting, you can do before overheating.

  2. Recon = 20
  3. Destroyer, Thief, Rook= 15
  4. Assassin, Triage = 10

Agility

Agility represents your base movement speed and how high you can jump.

  3. Recon = 15
  4. Destroyer, Triage = 10

Loot Speed

In an extraction shooter, loot is one of your main goals, but it represents a timing where you're choosing to be vulnerable. The Loot Speed stat influences how quickly your loot is revealed.

  3. Recon, Triage = 10
  4. Destroyer, Vandal = 5

Melee Damage

Although Marathon features gadgets and weaponry that are more futuristic than most games, you'll still find yourself in situations where punching or knifing someone are the best tool for the job. Melee Damage represents how powerful your melee blows are.

Prime Recovery

In Marathon, your Prime Ability is the closest thing to an "ultimate", boasting the longest cooldowns on average. The Prime Recovery stat represents how fast it recharges.

  2. Destroyer, Recon = 5

Tactical Recovery

Whereas your Prime Ability is like an ultimate, your Tactical Ability is another powerful tool but is designed to be used more often, on average.Tactical Recovery represents how fast it recharges.

Self-Repair Speed

Although the time-to-kill in Marathon is quite fast, there will be fights that you survive and have the opportunity to reset before the action begins again. Self-Repair Speed is the rate at which your health and shields recover.

Finisher Siphon

If you're able to get up close and personal to use a finisher for a killing blow, you'll be granted shield charge. Finisher Siphon increases the amount of shield that you regain.

Revive Speed

Mistakes happen in Marathon and no matter how good you are, you will be downed. Revive Speed affects how quickly you can revive allies or revive yourself with a Self Revive.

Hardware

There are plenty of physical status effects that will hamper you down and affect your Runner. Hardware allows you to reduce the duration of these effects.

Firewall

While Hardware involves physical status effects, Firewall relates to status effects that affect your Runner's electronics systems, like EMP or Hacks.

Fall Resistance

Watch your step, because there is fall damage in Marathon. Naturally, theFall Resistance stat affects how much damage you take.

Ping Duration

Stakes are always high in Marathon, so every second of information matters. Ping Duration influences how long a ping lasts when targeting enemies.
