How to Play

Use E to pressure your opponent when they walk up to farm, especially when you can also benefit from its healing. Follow with W when its slow will let your ghouls or your jungler keep attacking. Save Q for enemies you can safely reach, and use it after a basic attack to reset your attack timer.

Your spells can drain your mana quickly. Focus on useful trades and last hits until you can buy Tear of the Goddess. Avoid spending your whole mana bar just to make the enemy retreat for a few seconds.

Keep the wave near your side when the enemy jungler is missing. Yorick has sustain and a slow, but no reliable dash to escape a gank.

At level 6, use R before a committed fight. Cast it on yourself in a duel or on a strong basic attacking carry in a teamfight. Waiting until the target is almost dead risks losing the chance to cast it. Keep the copy attacking and turn successful fights into turret pressure.

Runes Explained

Attack Damage Marks and Quintessences help with last hitting, Q trades and ghoul damage.

Armor Seals and Magic Resist Glyphs give you a defensive base while you build mana and damage. They help you stay in lane long enough to benefit from repeated E trades.

Masteries Explained

This 21/9/0 page supports an aggressive lane. The offensive tree adds attack damage, armor penetration and cooldown reduction, while Executioner helps finish weakened opponents. Armor penetration benefits your physical damage; it does not increase E’s magic damage.

The remaining nine points provide health and resistances. Against a magic-damage lane opponent, move two points from Hardiness into Resistance.
