How to Play

Twisted Fate is a free farming mage who excels at roaming. Use Q to clear waves from a distance while preparing W for trades or jungler ganks. If you communicate with your jungler, it's extremely easy to get kills in lane.

Allow your opponent to push the wave, then punish them with a gold card once they have overextended. Once you're level 6, constantly watch the side lanes for opportunities to secure kills. Successful roams are more often more valuable than trying to win your own lane.

Runes Explained

For Twisted Fate's runes, we want Magic Penetration Marks to increase the damage of his abilities and make his cards hit harder. Movement Speed Quintessences are a great choice since they help him position better, roam around the map, and create picks for his team.

Twisted Fate is an immobile champion and can be vulnerable to ganks, so Armor Seals and Magic Resist Glyphs provide the extra defenses needed to survive the laning phase and stay effective throughout the game.

Masteries Explained

While playing Twisted Fate, you want to sit back, farm, and create picks for your team when the opportunity appears. For the damage side of things, make the Offense tree your main focus, as Twisted Fate benefits greatly from the Ability Power, increased damage, and Cooldown Reduction it provides for his cards.

The remaining points can go into the Utility tree, giving you useful bonuses like Mana Regeneration or even Movement Speed, both of which can be extremely valuable throughout the game.
