How to Play

AP Tristana is a burst-oriented mid laner who excels at punishing enemies with explosive all-ins. Focus on farming safely in the early game while using Explosive Shot (E) to poke and pressure your opponent. Look for opportunities to jump in with Rocket Jump (W) when the enemy is low or key abilities are on cooldown, then follow up with E and Buster Shot (R) for a huge burst combo.

Once you get a few AP items, your combo can instantly remove squishy targets. In teamfights, play around your cooldowns, wait for a good opening, and use Rocket Jump resets to reposition or continue chasing after securing a kill.

Runes Explained

For AP Tristana's runes, you want to maximize your burst damage while picking up enough defense to survive the laning phase. Magic Penetration Marks and Ability Power Quintessences significantly increase the damage of your abilities, giving you much stronger poke and all in potential.

Armor Seals help reduce damage from AD champions and minions during the early game, while Magic Resist Glyphs provide valuable protection against AP opponents throughout the game.

Masteries Explained

When playing AP Tristana, you should prioritize the Offense tree to maximize your burst damage and scaling. The bonus Ability Power and Magic Penetration significantly increase the damage of Explosive Shot (E) and Rocket Jump (W), giving you excellent kill pressure throughout the game.

For your secondary tree, Utility is the best choice. The extra Movement Speed and reduced Summoner Spell cooldowns help you roam more effectively, reposition during fights, and create more opportunities to snowball your lead.
