How to Play
Nautilus in League of Legends Classic is pretty much the same as Nautilus in the current version of League of Legends. You will not need to practice him and can head straight into a game with the recommended Runes and item build! During the laning phase, play around enemy cooldowns and look for picks with your Q when the enemy ADC or Support walks outside of the minion wave. Post 6, use your Ultimate as often as you can and look for picks with it.
In the later parts of the laning phase and the mid-game, move around the map and make plays with your Q and Ultimate. Try to catch isolated enemies or those walking around Summoner’s Rift alone, since they’re easy targets for Nautilus and his ADC. In team fights, focus the nearest champion to keep your allies alive! Use your Ultimate on an enemy carry to force them out of the fight or CC-lock them so they cannot deal damage!
Runes Explained
As Nautilus is a tanky Support, your best bet is to go for Runes that increase your defensive stats. We recommend taking Armor Marks, as they give you flat Armor to protect you from enemy ADC auto-attacks. Then you should take Armor Seals for the additional Armor to help you further. When playing vs. any AP champion in lane or against Mid Laners, Magic Resist Glyphs will come in handy to protect you from AP damage.
For your Quintessence, you can either choose Movement Speed or Armor. We suggest Movement Speed, as Nautilus is a roaming champion.
Masteries Explained
The best Masteries for Nautilus are a mix of Offence, Defence, and Utility. We should put 1 point in Offence to increase our kill pressure throughout the whole game. The rest of the points go into buffing up our defensive stats to keep us alive for longer when we look to all-in the enemy bottom lane.
